CNN Jumps to Conclusions After Trump Wishes Rob Porter Well
Townhall.com ^ | February 9, 2018 | Cortney O'Brien

President Trump offered his well wishes to his now former staff secretary Rob Porter following his resignation in the wake of domestic violence allegations from his two ex-wives. Trump commended his "hard work" while he served in the White House and said he hopes he was a wonderful career ahead of him.

He also reminded the press that Porter has said he's innocent.

Aware of the president's remarks, CNN jumped to the following conclusion during its breaking news report.

quite the CNN chyron right now pic.twitter.com/08pG0D4wpJ— Oliver Darcy (@oliverdarcy) February 9, 2018

It's unclear whether it was mentioned in this Wolf Blitzer segment that the White House has expressed its shock over the "serious" and "disturbing" Porter allegations. It's unclear what exactly White House Chief of Staff John Kelly knew in terms of the severity of the allegations, but he did note "there is no place for domestic violence in our society."

CNN loves throwing shade at the Trump administration with its editorialized chyrons. In the past year, the network has shared its biased opinions on everything from Russian collusion, to how many scoops of ice cream the president eats.

"Trump: I Don’t Support WikiLeaks (He Loved it in 2016)," one of the chyrons read. Last month, when White House Counselor Kellyanne Conway insisted that no one in the administration is obsessing over Hillary Clinton, CNN shot back with the following subtitle.

The network's anti-Trump, pro-Hillary agenda led to a public scolding by Conway live on air last year.

"I love CNN but you've got to be honest here," she told Jake Tapper. "The lower thirds, what's always on the chyron, the panelists, the so-called experts constantly saying, 'She can't lose. The race is over.'"

The other political party (media) is quick to air its version of every event pertaining to the current administration.

Sorry, but Trump’s comment was idiotic. Defending a wife abuser is political suicide.

” Defending a wife abuser is political suicide.”

Reportedly, it’s two wives and an ex-girlfriend. I agree, unless he knows something contrary to the accusations, Trump erred in giving his declaration of support.

Everyone has something in their background that the left could make into a mess... to talk and talk and talk about someone’s private life is just ridiculous. Fire the person if necessary and get on with life!

We already know the dems are the ones doing what they have laid on Trump... they are deeper in the sludge. Too many talk shows and the gab turns all those men into feminists.. and it isn’t pretty!

“The average American does not care.”

I don’t agree and, FWIW:

“Kelly indicated to Trump he was willing to resign: reports”

http://thehill.com/homenews/administration/373193-kelly-indicated-to-trump-he-was-willing-to-resign-report

This is a pretty big deal, like it or not.

....”This #metoo crap is getting too far. If it’s bad leave your movie job or that relationship”..

It’s just part of Hillary’s agenda to “blow it up” as she said she wanted to do. She’s angry as no other in politics. She said she’d take everyone down with her...so she’s pushing a lot of buttons now to do so.

I listened to the second wife. They had been fighting and fighting. She got a protective order because he busted a window while they were fighting.

Sounds like he might have slammed a door....on the way out. Then she called the cops and got the order.

It’s all CNN dumb s&$t, et al. We all understand the stupid politics that CNN and ever other DUmb Dems play. Kelly being a man even in this asinine political theater, offered his resignation even though he has nothing to do with anything that happened with or about his staffer’s past. I highly doubt Trump will ask for his resignation.
