Democrats have an ancient holy ritual called Adoration of the Blessed Kennedy. Its latest iteration appears in the February 6 Politico Magazine in which their chief Washington correspondent, Edward-Isaac Dovere, breathlessly reports on the possibility of a new assumption of the presidency by a Kennedy... The wet-lipped Joe Kennedy III.
Of course there are the obligatory denials by young Joe himself but Dovere's paean to the Prince-in-waiting is so chock full of saccharine as to give you a toothache while reading Kennedy Could Be the Democrats’ Best Hope (But May Not Want to Be):

If Droolin’ Joe is the Dems’ “best hope” then they might as well drink the cyanide and get it over with. For all the Republican party’s many faults, it did at least spare a grateful nation a (shudder) Yeb! Bush administration.
This is great. What an indication of how seriously lacking, how utterly lacking the Democratic party is as far as ideas. All they can do is go back to their Hackneyed cliches. All they can do is go to Oprah Winfrey or Joe Kennedy or Hillary Clinton or Joe Biden. Or Nancy Pelosi. What a pathetic pile of losers. Oh did I forget John Kerry?
Seriously this is so completely pathetic. There is no other word for it. The tax cuts & the economic progress we are making are actually putting money in people’s pockets but the Democrats have got to try to convince you that it’s a big nothing. This is the challenge of the democratic party at this point in time. You personally see more dollars in your pocket. You, personally see greater activity going on in the economy. But the Democrats must try with all their might to convince you that the dollars actually in your pocket, ones you can spend or invest, are an illusion. They don’t really do you any good . What you need to do to maintain your high moral standing is to send them into the government so that the government can take care of poor people. More often the government takes care of its own people. Indeed this is what the Democrat Party does at all times in all instances. They wish to sell you an illusion they wish to sell you that because some black hood got shot , that the police are out to kill black people. They must convince you that because somebody’s feelings were hurt in Waukegan Illinois, that life sucks for you. Meanwhile their track record is pathetic. It’s incredible. The GDP figures since Trump’s election have been considerably greater than any of the time during the Obama Administration.
