Déjà Vu: It’s “Infrastructure Week” … Again

With tax reform accomplished and DACA on its way to a Senate debate, the White House has declared this to be “Infrastructure Week.” They held a meeting this morning with officials from around the country to launch one of Donald Trump’s key campaign promises — a master plan to rebuild and upgrade the nation’s core transportation facilities. The Trump administration will roll out a $1.5 trillion proposal, hoping to retain focus on the issue.

Meh.

New infrastructure, yes; if it leads to increased commerce. Upgrade airports like LGA, EWR and JFK; yes.

But the local entities must pay.

Repairing infrastructure does not pay off unless it avoids a disaster.

A 40% budget deficit will lead to a bigger disaster sooner than a road with potholes will.

Under the President Trump plan the Feds will shell out $200 billion with the rest coming from the states and private enterprise. Pelosi wants a $trillion dollars spent by the Feds.

Really? I keep hearing a,trillion in shovel ready, union bailouts. Thanks for posting. Do we get the nifty taxpayer funded signs again?
