My renters on EBT cards buy only the highest quality meat and then sell it at cents on the dollar to buy beer and cigarettes. As far as I can determine, they eat little food, preferring to get their calories from alcohol.
The EBT cards aren’t about food. They could care less about food.
BTW, I am all for it! The price of meat will plummet.
Ive seen people use EBT cards at WHOLE FOODS..seriously..WHOLE FOODS..people abuse the EBT system so badly here(And probably everywhere else) saw a woman once, able bodied, drove off in a Mercedes Benz, after she purchased a bunch of food on her EBT card at Whole Foods
I don’t know if the price of anything will go down. Look at the WIC program. Why should the price of baby formula, cereal or orange juice be so high? Because they can get whatever they ask for from the government. Look for any item that will be delivered to go up in price at the grocery store.
