The fact remains that pretty much every terrorist attack on US or European soil has been perpetrated by Sunni extremists, not by Shias. And it's Saudi clerics, not Assad who funnel money to these organizations. The "Free Syria Army" backed by McCain is the "moderate" wing of this Sunni faction - basically they're Muslim Brotherhood rather than Al Quaeda or ISIS.
