One, Reagan was elected only 6 years after Nixon resigned. Yep, 6 short years for Americans to forget their anger about Watergate & Republicans.
Two, Trump demonstrated how to take over a political party. Similar to a BK turnaround, the remaining shell is valuable if used correctly. Both the RNC & DNC have well developed networks from local affiliates all the way up to the national organization. For proglibs, it would be much more effective to use the clean out and use the existing infrastructure, rather than attempt to create a new party from scratch. That means everyone from Hussein to Nan to DiFi and so on down the line get kicked to the curb.
Three, as we all know, politicians are extremely ambitious. For late 40-something proglibs, their prime years are just ahead in the next 6-8-10 years. But, they will never achieve widespread national success with the albatross of Hussein, Cankles and crew still hanging around their necks. At this point, the cabal provides -0- upside benefit, but tons of downside drag. They have got to go.
Four, again back to Trump: a twice divorced, thrice married person as the standard bearer for the so-called party of the religious right while appealing to center-left union voters. If that trick can be pulled off, why not a proglib who can all of a sudden become pro-country, hard border, anti-illegal alien? Trump is from NY, yet appealed to the South. Newsome will end up being the Calif governor, but could appeal across the country with a return to traditional, patriotic positions.
Don't think it's possible? Look, anything is possible within the margin of reasonable acceptance. Right now, the DNC/MSM is still in full on propaganda mode, so their effectiveness is muted. However, if they were to clean house, become even 50% honest & start supporting pro-America policies, then watch how fast memories fade. If the DNC pulled out the long-knives and sacrificed these traitors, 2020 could actually be put back in play.
Don't for a moment think this calculus isn't being made among the 40 something generation.

In fact, if the Comey-Trump meeting was scheduled in advance (I assume it was), that meeting DROVE the timing of the “secret” meeting at the White Hut to plan the attack going forward.
The slimy WH cabal likely came up with this scheme to flush out a Trump reaction watching Season 5 of Breaking Bad, when DEA agent Hal flushes out meth cooker Walt to the secret location of buried cash with fabricated evidence (faked pic of the cash). Geniuses, all.

We are not the ones who allowed an artist to portray a former president with a spermatozoa running down his temple. This artist is known for such things and Obama is sick for allowing it. It is a blatant disrespect of our national values.

I hope there will be justice that reaches the highest levels of this cabal, but the problem is that the cabal represents the mind-set of about half the country, so that by extension, half the country has committed treason against the other half.
How do you solve that?
Probably the best way forward is the high road, if Trump can somehow keep a focus on a positive agenda through this term and a second one, and bring more than half the country to his side, then history will win the only judgement that matters. If it were to be a contentious court case leading to all-out cultural civil war (at the very least) then not much is gained although it’s better than the alternative of doing nothing and returning to status quo politics.
Tough questions created by a whole class of people who thought that the state should control the people, and not the other way around. Fundamental difference that Trump has not yet begun to exploit although it’s understood by his base. I think it’s the bridge to a larger segment of public support — and takes a delicate balancing act when your intention is to strengthen the state after (ironically) it was almost destroyed by the statists themselves.

I just don’t like it when we can’t talk about people rationally, even those theoretically on the right side but not in agreement with most conservative positions. This would be things like referring to Lindsay Graham - it’s okay, I don’t like him either — as “Linda” or making stupid sexual innuendoes which have nothing to do with the corruption and evil of these people and actually detract from the point of the comment.
I think we have a lot of people on this site who are very knowledgeable and can contribute a lot to a discussion, but turning it into a Dem-style exercise in name-calling brings it all down.
In any case, I know I had a hard time restraining myself when Obama (whom I usually called Bambi) was president, and I have a hard time restraining myself from using insulting nicknames for the current Communist occupant of the Vatican, but I’m working hard on it!
