What Did James Comey Tell President Trump About Clinton-Steele Dossier
Conservative Treehouse ^ | February 15, 2018 | Sundance

Andrew McCarthy has an excellent must-read review of how the Susan Rice email paints a clear picture of James Comey’s instructions -from President Obama- to obfuscate the intent of the FBI counterintelligence operation during the early days of the Trump administration.

Comey has consistently lied about the Clinton investigation, the Trump collusion investigation and just about everything else.

Comey has also illegally leaked classified documents to the media.

The FBI is hiding the Comey memos because they'll show how much Comey lied and that the appointment of Mueller as Special Counsel was rigged and dirty.

Corrupt comey actually belongs in prison. But i would take anything extrapolated by mark bradman over at CTH with a grain of salt. He is seldom right in the end as far as his analysis is concerned.

Andy McCarthy is having a hard time giving up the idea that the FBI and DOJ under Comey and Lynch/Yates was not operating in good faith.

Here’s a question for Andy: If your buddy Comey really had a good faith desire to get to the bottom of the allegations in the Steele dossier, wouldn’t it have been much more effective to spy on Steele, rather than Carter Page?

Steele claimed these things originated in what contacts told him were said by other people. How about searching Steele’s communications, and the communications of those Steele was in contact in?

The answer? Because that might actually have led back to the Hillary campaign, and not to anonymous Russians.

Andy why did they need to renew the Page warrant? The first warrant would have given all they needed to go back years to collect Page’s communications and those he was in contact with, and they would have known this was a bunch of phony nonsense.

You must have not read the article. McCarthy says Comey lied/misrepresented the dossier (as to its corrupt origin, etc.)) to Trump in order to steer Trump away from shutting down the investigation.

Found this from February 8th. It provides quotes from Comey's testimony regarding the sharing of the dossier with Obama and Trump:

Memo Reveals James Comey Briefed Trump on Dossier Despite FBI Determining Info Was Only ‘Minimally Corroborated’

But McCarthy also says:

“If [FBI/DOJ] had not believed those allegations were credible, they would not have put them in a warrant application to the FISA Court.”

and

“Or you can believe that Obama officials, altruistically motivated to protect national security, were convinced that Trump was in cahoots with the Kremlin, and they were desperately trying to prove it”

and

“In reality, Comey did suspect the president of wrongdoing and calculated that, at some point, the FBI would find the proof.”

That’s why I say McCarthy is having a hard time coming to the conclusion that Comey et al were operating in bad faith.

In truth, they knew this was Hillary campaign-generated crap. McCarthy wants to pretend they were operating in good faith, truly believed the dossier was credible, etc. Nonsense.

What does Comeys memo say? Did anyone fact check it? Maybe it could be evidence of obstruction by Comey.

Andy McCarthy knows exactly what happened and he is not giving these people the benefit of the doubt.

McCarthy is painting a terrifying picture of very devious and sophisticated covert frame up job executed by Obama holdovers intended to remove President of the United States.

He is exposing the very serious nature of their attempted coup by abusing the power of NSA intelligence and surveillance methods along with established regime change techniques and how their conspiracy really had a very good chance to succeed IF they could keep it going.

This also explains the intent of Obama’s Executive Order 12333 - to facilitate sharing and dissemination of illegally obtained Trump spying to the various co conspirators while keeping the details of the investigation a secret from the Trump Administration. Furthermore, Obama’s Executive Order 12333 proves he was in the loop and running the show in the frame up and coup attempt against Donald Trump.

All was going according to plan until Trump stunned the conspirators by firing Comey.

Once Comey was fired, the conspirators knew the jig was up and they needed to cover their tracks and cover their asses, which was going to a challenge because they just got locked out of control of the system.

In order to keep their coup alive and to cover their butts, the conspirators needed a way to get the keys to the system back in their hands and under control. The the intent of the Mueller investigation is two fold - to keep the coup rolling in vain hopes of success , but more importantly, to manufacture legal justification for frame up job once the truth about their coup attempt to remove Trump and replace him with Hillary Clinton had been exposed.

This justification hinged on this paragraph from McCarthy's piece

“Now, you can believe that the Obama administration’s motives were political, that the Trump–Russia collusion narrative was mainly a Democratic-party concoction to rationalize Hillary Clinton’s defeat and cripple Trump’s fledgling administration. Or you can believe that Obama officials, altruistically motivated to protect national security, were convinced that Trump was in cahoots with the Kremlin, and they were desperately trying to prove it. Either way, though, the challenge for Obama’s team was to keep the investigation going even after Trump took office.”

As McCarthy says, there are only two possibilities

The first is Obama administration’s motives were political, that the Trump–Russia collusion narrative was mainly a Democratic-party concoction to rationalize Hillary Clinton’s defeat and cripple Trump’s fledgling administration.

The second is that Obama officials, altruistically motivated to protect national security, were convinced that Trump was in cahoots with the Kremlin, and they were desperately trying to prove it. Either way, though, the challenge for Obama’s team was to keep the investigation going even after Trump took office

If it is the first, then the conspirators are all guilty of a huge number of serious criminal acts and abuses of official power and office , all supporting an act of sedition against a sitting president who they consider their political enemy and who they conspired to keep from being elected.

If a case can be built that the second was true, then the seditious cabal can escape serious consequences for their attempts to sabotage Trumps election and then stage a coup against him when their plans failed and Trump assumed office. This is their plan B and what Strozk termed their insurance plan

Mueller has been working to execute their Plan B to continue the Comey coup and build their case that their Plan A was a legit counter intelligence operation and not a rouge illegal spying operation since he was appointed Special Prosecutor

The article by McCarthy is scary because he demonstrates just how serious the conspiracy against Trump was and how it would have probably succeeded without the heads up from Adm Rodgers, the IG investigation and the Committee investigations by Grassley, Nunes and Gowdy.

“As McCarthy says, there are only two possibilities”

I interpret what McCarthy is saying a little bit differently, and I think he is still giving too much benefit of the doubt to the DOJ/FBI, given that he is a DOJ alumnus.

I think what he is saying here is that both possibilities are legitimate opinions to hold at this point. McCarthy at this point seems somewhat agnostic himself, awaiting further developments.

But at least McCarthy admitting that Alternative A is a legitimate opinion to hold is progress for him. (And to the contrary I don’t believe, based on what has been uncovered, that Alternative B is a legitimate opinion to hold at this point.) This has come after he very recently admitted to his readers that he was wrong in holding the view that the DOJ/FBI would never use uncorroborated campaign oppo research to petition a court for a warrant to spy on American citizens. McCarthy essentially apologized to his readers for being so irrational on this point in the past.

What I would very much like is for McCarthy to come around to the view that we need a new special counsel, independent of Obama and Clintons and the DOJ/FBI Washington establishment, to investigate these abuses of government power, such as the FISA warrant abuse and whether there was abuse of British spying abilities to go after US citizens and the conspiracy to fix the investigation into Hillary and so on.

For example, was the appointment of Special Counsel Mueller contrived as an attempt to remove Trump from office before he could collect evidence of wrongdoing in the Hillary investigation and other matters and prosecute people? If so, that would be a conspiracy to obstruct justice. There is certainly more reason to suspect that than to suspect President Trump of obstructing justice by replacing Comey with his own appointee.

The independent prosecutor function has been much abused and is flawed in many respects. But the one circumstance where it has a legitimate role - where there appears to be or have been corruption throughout the top ranks of the DOJ and FBI - faces us here. The DOJ/FBI is not competent to investigate themselves.

The piece by McCarthy really scared the heck out of me.

From the outside looking in, it has appeared that attempts to frame Trump were a cross between the Keystone Cops and Don Quixote tilting a windmills by desperate Obama dead enders who had little chance to succeed

From McCarthy's insider perspective, the plot was carefully planned, well supported, well coordinated with the media circus and Antifa riots we saw last year and, absent outside intervention, very likely to succeed.

In fact, even after being exposed for what it is, the plot may still succeed if the Democrats succeed in the mid term elections

That was him trying a final attempt to blackmail Trump into playing ball. Trump was supposed to agree that he could be “President” with the framework of control they wanted.

If he agreed to basically let them govern, they would have cleared him.

This was Comey trying to pull off the “show the incoming president a new angle JFK film” trick. Trump shoved it up his azz.
