Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) announced Thursday he is willing to sit down and discuss gun control legislation with Sens. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and John Cornyn (R-TX). This is the second time in four months he has agreed to talk to about gun control proposals. On November 8, 2017, Breitbart News reported that he had agreed “to allow a Judiciary Committee hearing on bump stock gun control.”
Ironically, two of the key proponents of those hearings were Feinstein and Cornyn. Additionally, Feinstein had put forth a bill to ban bump stocks altogether.
Fast forward to February 2018 and CBS News reports that Grassley is again expressing willingness “sit down with Sens. Dianne Feinstein and John Cornyn” and talk about “what sort of agreement [they] can reach on legislation.”

I notice that the Federal Government did not ban Islam after the 9-11 attacks.
The Federal Government did not even move to restrict Islam after the 9-11 attacks.
Even though some 3000 American Lives were lost.
As a matter of fact the I seem to remember that the Federal Government protected the rights of Muslims after the attack, even, it seemed, going over and above the rights of others in the Nation.
Makes me wonder.... if Islam is the Assault Weapon of Religions why can’t the US Government move to ban Islam?
The 1st Amendment?
Well... the 2nd Amendment seems open to interpretation, and the 2nd Amendment has been restricted many times.
There are many other Religions in the Nation to pick from... why can’t the Federal Government just ban the one Religion that has caused the most horrific terrorist attack on US Soil?
After all, people do not kill people with guns.... the Gun kills people, correct?
Perhaps it is the same with Religion. Perhaps the people in the Religion do not kill people, but instead the Religion itself kills people?
He you in Texas, are anti-2A activists in TX now going to support Cornyn next time he is up, which won’t be soon enough?
Oh yes, more gesture politics from these “it doesn’t matter, they’re interchangeable” type of people.

Cornyn is no good for Texas.He doesn’t like Trump and he doesn’t want the wall. I want Gov. Abbott to defeat him in the primary.

Here’s what I don’t get. The 1st and 14th amendments prohibit discrimination based on religion, and the 4th Circuit, among others, has struck down the travel ban because they say it unfairly discriminates against Muslims, many of whom are not terrorist threats. Likewise the 2nd and 14th amendments prohibit the state and federal governments from banning gun ownership. Only the smallest minority of gun owners commit crimes with their guns. Yet liberals who decry the travel ban, fully support taking gun rights away from everyone. The two positions are inconsistent.
Grassley should come out of the closet and admit he is a Democrat!

It's past time for the gun-control-freaks to start listening to We the People.
Repeal the National Firearms Act.
Repeal the Gun Control Act.
Repeal the Hughes Amendment.
Quit preventing We the People from defending ourselves and our communities against evildoers.
It's just common sense! Think of the children ... if it saves even one life, it's worth it!
He is saying he will talk but don’t bank on him doing anything. This is phase two of the gun control two step. In this one the Republicans waltz the donkeys around until they get the “it aint happening” message.
The Second Amendment GUARANTEES The Right to Keep and Bear Arms, so ANY "Discussion" is a waste of breath, and NO DAMN POLITICIAN is going to deprive me of my Constitutional Rights!

OK ban those scary looking assault rifles. Unless one wants to have gun grabbing brown shirts shaking down every house in the country looking for these banned weapons thousands will still be around and they will be still available on the black market. So what would a ban accomplish? What if the next attacker steals a Civil War era cannon from a park and uses it to shell a school or hijacks a gasoline tanker and rams into into a school? What do we ban then?
