Bribery and High Crimes and Misdemeanors are not defined, so it seems, they are whatever the House says they are.

So if not convicted, not liable ?

1) God bless you, keep up the good work, don't quit (like raiderboy says to me) and MAGA by RESTORING OUR FREE CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC and
2) Do what ever you can to get the RIGHT guy with nerves of steel and an iron will to take over and finish the job of restoring America's Free Constitutional Republic after you leave in 2024.

He is letting the DOJ do what it does, and that might turn out to be disappointing. Hillary and Obama have always put several layers of people bewtween themselves and their crimes. It would take an aggressive investigator+prosecutor to break through.
Trump needs to clean up the “deep state” which includes the FBI and our whole intelligence community - then let them do what they do best - go after the REAL bad guys. Don’t need an extra-constitutional, conflicted-interest, convoluted “special prosecutor” to do that. Clean up the FBI and then have at it.
Watching a Russian coverage of this story on Ren-TV (right-wing conspiracy TV-channel in Russia) right now. That’s a comic relief for them. In between dipping Russian Communists into crap they are comparing Trump-Mueller to Khruschev-Beria at the time.
I agree. However, if he named a replacement for Rosenstein, Senate Dems would try to get the nominee to promise not to go after their friends or fire Mueller. Republicans could vote to confirm anyway, but an “R” by the name does not guarantee much.
A demand for a promise like that is unconstitutional and should be absolutely rejected with strong rebuke to the Dems for their ignorance and willing violation of constitutional mandates.
Of course they would not use those exact words, but that would be the real meaning.
