Twin Peaks haze hangs over DA's race (Waco)

Abel Reyna and Barry Johnson both have deep roots in McLennan County.

Both men like to talk about their fathers and grandfathers.

Reyna's father, Felipe Reyna, is a former McLennan County district attorney and a former justice on the 10th Court of Appeals. His grandfather was the janitor at the McLennan County Courthouse and was loved by county employees.

Johnson's father, Joe N. Johnson, was a McLennan County justice of the peace for 24 years and was judge in 170th State District Court for 16 years. His grandfather owned and operated the first service station in Waco at South Fifth Street and Webster Avenue.

Reyna, 45, and Johnson, 61, are embroiled in a hotly contested Republican primary battle as Reyna seeks his third term as McLennan County district attorney. Reyna has declined to answer questions from the Tribune-Herald or return phone calls for the past five years and continued that informational black-out for this story.

Reyna, a former defense attorney, defeated 24-year incumbent John Segrest eight years ago and had no opponents on the ballot four years ago, beating back a last-minute write-in campaign from Robert Callahan.

Waco attorney Seth Sutton withdrew his name from the Democratic primary last week, and Daniel Hare, director of employee relations and engagement at the Baylor University Law School, will be on the November ballot for DA as an independent.

Johnson was a plaintiffs' attorney in Dallas for 30 years and ran an unsuccessful campaign in 2016 for state district judge in Dallas County before moving back to Waco last year. In recent public forums, Reyna has criticized Johnson for living and working outside McLennan County and his lack of experience in criminal court.

The Whacko Cops and the McLennan County Sheriff’s deputies are like cats covering $hit, because they are hip deep in the Twin Peaks shooting, and some of them may end up going to jail for murders they perpetrated there when the dust finally settles.
I don’t like bikers, but I don’t like a crooked justice system in Whacko even more.

It’s difficult to believe that the Feds are not involved in a significant way.

Is this the Texas DA race that Soros is funding? Just wondering.

You’re only saying that because BATF were in the crime scene photos early on ;)

“It’s difficult to believe that the Feds are not involved in a significant way.”

That, in and of itself, should be a red flag to us all given the corrupt behavior of the FBI. And the problem we have is this “code of omerta” that LEO’s have to protect “their own” even when they are operating in a criminal fashion. In light of all that we know about corruption in the DOJ and FBI, you’d think there would be one patriot in their number who would go public. But no, they will all sit idly by, watching the idiots in the Congress try against all odds, to get to the truth, and not a f*cking one of them will speak up. The guy from Judicial Watch the other night on FNC was right, the best thing we could do is disband the FBI and start over. We look like a banana republic!

Excellent post.

What I really want to know is the forensic ballistics of each person killed or wounded. The ballistics will show who fired the weapon be they police or bikers. Once this is established the next question to both is, "why did you fire that weapon?"

Now you’re talking! And the fact that that evidence isn’t out after more than two years says to me that they don’t want it out because some of their number will be tried for murder when it is made public. The only thing you really need to know is how many of the dead and wounded have .223 rounds in them because none of the bikers were armed with AR15’s. I guess the other fear I have is the the FBI will diddle the ballistics data to cover up the murders done by the LEOs.
It is really the $hits that we have gotten to the place where our “justice system” is today. I mean who can you really trust?

The mischief possible to a government is greater than that possible to a biker gang.

It’s usually also easier to sell gospel to a biker gang. The government rogues are likely to tell you they know all that stuff “from their pappy’s knee.”

We are looking at the fallout of a spiritual disintegration.

My answer is to preach gospel to any who will listen. Even biker gangs. They are often bent on private ideas of justice. Learning how to do it God’s way will result in a win, even when governments abdicate their responsibilities.

So who can you ultimately trust? God.

Tell God how steamed you are. Don’t mince words. Turn the air blue. Do you think the Creator is surprised? But He wants to know you believe He cares.

Then hand Him the whole hot mess. And get ready for a surprise.

“Tell God how steamed you are. Don’t mince words. Turn the air blue. Do you think the Creator is surprised? But He wants to know you believe He cares.”

I think the American People have collectively “told Him” how “steamed” we are with our election of Donald J. Trump as our President. And based on what has been happening since his inauguration, it looks as though “the forces of good and evil” are all lined up for the battle for America’s soul. Just hope Satan continues to have a series of “bad days.” The sign I’m looking for is for some of the “key players” on the Dark Side, to suddenly be taken from us, starting with Ginsberg, and Hillary. If and when they are looking at the grass from underneath, I will believe we have really gotten His attention.

“Reyna’s father, Felipe Reyna, is a former McLennan County district attorney and a former justice on the 10th Court of Appeals. His grandfather was the janitor at the McLennan County Courthouse and was loved by county employees.”

I think we have found the problem. From janitor to DA in one generation. If you want to assure a decent justice system, you need to avoid electing Hispanics, because their “values” are so far removed from those on which this country was founded. Just look at the Mexican A$$hole we’ve installed as our AG here in CA (Javier Beccara). It is indeed surprising to find Texas electing this trash, but in the end here with Twin Peaks, the good voters of Whacko are going to be left with a huge tab for making the Reynas part of their legal system. If you doubt what I’ve written, all you have to do is pick a country, any country, in Central or South America and see how it parallels McLennan County, Texas. The combination of Boss Hoggs and Mexicans is a prescription for unequal justice under the law. In a perverse way, I am hopeful at the end of the day that Whacko’s “new owners” change it’s name to Cossackville. It would serve to show the world that there is equal justice in Texas.

McLennan County households received fliers supporting Reyna on Saturday that show a photo of Johnson shaking hands with Cossacks President John Wilson after putting up a campaign sign outside Wilson’s Legend Cycles shop. Wilson and his son remain under indictment in the Twin Peaks case.

Lol...advantage Reyna.
