If more men sleeping with men = less blood, then less men sleeping with men = more blood. Math, the only thing standing between you and bankruptcy.

Because once infected a person’s blood might not test positive for up to 6 or 9 months. They blood would pass the initial screening and only show positive later. To get an more accurate screening a person would have to be abstinent for that length of time and then get tested. Even more reason not to allow certain people to donate blood.

Another thing not made public or taught in schools is that if one is infected by a person that they almost certainly know has HIV or has been raped ect... that a person can get a massive dose of Aids medicine within like 48 to 78 hours that will almost certainly stop the infection. This isn’t made public because the drugs are too expensive.

Homosexual men have an inordinately high level of sexually transmitted blood born diseases. HIV is only one of them.

Beards such as Michelle Obama should also be banned for life.

Too many promiscuous people donate blood to get a free battery of STD tests done periodically. They get a buzz off the oxygen depletion, take selfies for virtue signalizing, and get a free cookie.

Instead of all the free sh*t, charge the blood donors $1. That alone would filter out 90% of Democrats.

Your kidding right? Why haven’t they found a way to cure Sickle Cell Anemia for starters? That should be easy. Life is in the blood. Millions of variables - pure science fiction magical thinking that humans could create something like synthetic blood that would be viable in real life.

A fake human appearing machine using oil or some liquid is as close as we’ll ever get I think.

And another thing... How many women do you know of who have contracted aids? I only know of one, Miss Kitty from Gunsmoke. She got it from her husband who got it from a blood transfusion. Killed her too.

Quick reminder.
HIV is a virus.
AIDS is a syndrome.
There is no disease.
HIV combined with a politically named illness is described as AIDS.

If a gay dies from one of the politically named illnesses they will be tested for HIV and if positive declared as dying from AIDS. If a straight dies from the same illness they will not be tested and declared as dying from the illness.

A celibate person or a monogamous couple have nothing to fear.

The Red Cross questionnaire has gone from asking men if they have had sexual contact with another male since 1977 to asking if they have had such contact in the last 12 months. I doubt that is as safe as they pretend...and gays can easily lie about how long ago their last contact was.

I am a 12-gallon donor but for several years I could not give blood when they had the six-months-in-Europe since Jan. 1980 rule (I had spent 7 months in Europe in 1980), but now they have changed it to 5 years. Meanwhile, Europeans can donate blood in Europe.

“Sleeping”? I suppose we could say “Sex” but that perverts the definition of sex. I would suggest MAIM, men who have anal intercourse with men.

Thanks for your snarky reply. It inspired me to go take a look at the latest medical breakthroughs in manufacturing blood. They ARE already doing it as a stop-gap measure.

See? You ARE good for something! ;)

Let them donate but then toss the blood. Win-win!

Why can’t they donate and then LATER screen the blood and discard it if anything is found wrong?

Of course, a blood donation is often the way they find OUT they tested positive....

_______________

I’m thinking they can’t be sure through screening which is why they have bans or restrictions. Scary!

Have the barbarians at the gate never heard of false negatives? Protecting the blood supply is not an issue one can compromise on.

They don't care. Having their deranged lifestyles affirmed is far more important than public safety.

Just one more effort to make "AIDS everyone's problem."

As of 2015, gays could donate blood if they hadn’t had sex for a year prior.

While I totally agree with homosexuals not donating blood there are other reasons people are restricted from donating.

No one in my husband’s imediate family can, his brother whom he’d not had contact with for a while died of a human version of mad cow disease called variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease that he’d contracted from dental work, the dentist died of it too. 8 months from a healthy man to a brain eaten away this disease and dead.

That’s sex with another man within the past 12 months (I guess ‘months’ sounds shorter than a year.)

But that’s still not good enough for them.

You most likely wouldn't know who "them" is until you ask, and that is the point they don't like.

I also spent too much time in Europe in the big green machine. And I’m O-negative, to boot.
