Baltimore’s highest-ever per capita homicide rate in 2017 also made it the deadliest big city in the country, USA Today reported Monday.
Though official data from the FBI won’t be available until later in the year, USA Today reviewed the homicide rates in the nation’s 50 largest cities and Baltimore came out on top. The 342 homicides the city experienced in 2017 were a 17 percent increase over the prior year, and translated to a rate of 56 killed per 100,000 people.
That easily outpaced New Orleans and Detroit, which both had about 40 killings per 100,000 people, according to the report.

Speaking of naming monuments and roads after Obama, it should be named Obamaville.
I tried to research the relationships of people getting killed in Baltimore. Each article was a tear-jerker or had an agenda message, but none of the first twenty had any statistics that lent a meaningful interpretation on the issues causing the deaths. Are these gang related? Are they due to importing a large third world population that is inherently more violent? Are these shootings racial? The “news” articles are useless. Where is the investigative reporting?
There was a huge amount on Freddie Gray. He seems to have gotten more ink than all the other murders. I viewed those articles as agenda driven.

Actually, it does. It's achieving exactly what it's intended to achieve, weakening State and City authority so "only the Federal Government" can solve the problem.
If you don't collapse the authority and power of States and cities a lot of people, even liberals sucking on the local teat, resist when you move authority to Washington where the Nobility are entrenched and comfortable.
Those Baltimoreans just need more room to destroy than most.
Are there any cities left that are in control of conservatives or Repubicans? Maybe it’s just the decentralization of rational people.
Remember when the thugs were burning the city down with the blessing of their mayor? They were saying that the police should get out of their neighborhoods and they’d protect the residents and provide law and order.

The only thing I found surprising in that article is that Baltimore is one of the 50 largest cities I the United States. I’ve always those thought of it as a small city.
And it used to be a decent place to visit.

For *years* I’ve wanted to go down and photograph the magnificent statues in the huge cemetery.
