Wayne LaPierre, the CEO of the NRA, made an unannounced visit to CPAC on Thursday morning — where he promptly ripped the media, Democrats, and even the FBI in the wake “As usual, the opportunists wasted not one second to exploit for political gain,” LaPierre said. He added, “The breathless national media [was] eager to smear the NRA.” LaPierre’s appearance was not publicized on the published CPAC agenda — released earlier this week — so as to minimize public protest. But on the agenda given to attendees Thursday, LaPierre’s name was included. As millions of Americans searched for meaningful solutions [after twhat do we find?” The NRA chief said, before taking aim at Democrat lawmakers: “Chris Murphy, Nancy Pelosi, and more — cheered on by the national media, eager to blame the NRA and call for even more government control.” In addition to the media and Democrats, LaPierre also went after the FBI. “They want to sweep right under the carpet the failure of school security, the failure of family, the failure of America’s mental health system, and even the unbelievable failure of the FBI,” he said. And yet “conservative” and “alt-right” websites have been bashing the NRA and LaPierre unmercifully for days now. The Right is its own worst enemy.
CNN showed at least part of it live. The “anchor” looked a tad rattled afterwards. Almost as if she was sorry they let it go to air.
So much for the NRA hiding.
A lot of times it is best to plan your remarks not just to conclusions and say things that one well regret later.
But, never, never ever, give him your home phone number.
I heard the Morning Joe idiots this morning say they couldn’t wait to hear what LaPierre had to say today. I knew they felt sick inside once he exposed Obama and all the radical left. I imagined all the young people glued to the tv to hear this speech and probably hearing things they never heard before. A lot of people got exposed in this speech and a lot of people were watching this speech. I am making it go viral. Just put it out on twitter. CSPAN 1 is showing all the speakers at CPAC for anyone who is interested.

Well as for me. When I get paid on the 28th the 1st thing I’m gonna do with my extra Tax Cut cash is rejoin the NRA! I usually do it every 4th year (presidential elections) but this year I’m not skipping!
They take a lot of flack (another one) from their membership, but they refuse to be rushed into making an an ill-concieved or stupid mistake.
The NRA is nothing if not deliberate in these areas. They never go off half cocked (god, I'm on fire) and almost always present an orderly appraisal of what is happening in the current situation and that usually starts the lessening of tensions.
You really hit a bullseye with that, right on target!
