There is nothing comical about trying to impeach this good POTUS.
I don’t know exactly what her constituency makeup is, but I’d be surprised if it isn’t almost all Black, perhaps some Latino mixed in.
Voting at a rate of about 90% for Democrats, these are folks who don’t think much for themselves.
The Dems actually came up with a pretty good plan to replace the Klan. It’s still working.

That’s real possibility if the Democrats have a good election - it would provide political pressure and a catalyst / excuse - “the people have spoke and we have heard the message” - therefore a Republican victory is essential to damaging this narrative. It would never be eliminated (Democrats even to this day still insist Bush wasn’t legitimate) because they never admit defeat, but it would damage it. A big GOP victory would not be a sign “the people” want President Trump thrown out.

Also, the Reps, even the establishment types, have to know that if they go along with the impeachment, it may cost them in the future.

The Russians’ aim was not to get any particular candidate elected, but to cast doubt on the legitimacy of whichever candidate won. These constant attacks do nothing to help the country, but everything to further the Russian cause.
