The City of Charlottesville will soon be ordered to remove the black tarps currently covering two Confederate statues downtown.

Reading from an official court letter Tuesday afternoon, Charlottesville Circuit Court Judge Richard Moore said he thinks the shrouds on the statues of Gens. Robert E. Lee and Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson are a violation of a state code protecting the removal or disturbance of war memorials.

Moore said the city will have 15 days to remove the tarps after an official order has been signed.

No matter what the Marxists attempt, the majority of Americans will rightly continue to see the Southerners as noble heroes who fought for their families and communities.

Slavery is a true evil that would have been eventually distinguished, but the noble and gentle people of the south would have arrived there eveuntally and didn’t need to be forced at gunpoint

Countdown to a judge in the Ninth Circuit Court to over rule this. Doesn’t matter that this is not in their jurisdiction...

I pray every DAY that the reign of Socialist terrorism that 0bama & Crew waged against us will FINALLY come to an end!

Reverse it ALL, President Trump. Every awful thing that POS did to American NEEDS to be reversed. His name and deeds NEED to be struck from the Public Record.

Stack the courts at all levels and let’s get back to SANITY!

MAGA!

Give the left an inch... if the city of Charlottesville shamelessly capitulated relocated the statues what next? Pave over the cemeteries where Confederate soldiers are buried? And since the PC not sees are also BDSholes, how long before they demand the Holocaust museums shut down and their artifacts destroyed because they offend the tender sensibilities of their jihadist comrade in arms?

‘but the noble and gentle people of the south would have arrived there eveuntally’

which explains why they were so gung-ho on expanding slavery to the western territories...

“The Civil War did not start over slavery.”

Ho, boy. I’ll just warn you that many here have accepted into their hearts the gospel of rewritten leftard history on this issue, and fully believe that the war was about slavery, only slavery, and nothing but slavery.

Charlottesville has a history of capitulating. General Custer (yes, that one) led a charge against a southern Calvary unit near town which was an attempt to divert troops from Richmond. That pretty much failed but the ladies of Charlottesville presented a blue silk flag thanking the Union for saving them. https://www.encyclopediavirginia.org/Charlottesville_During_the_Civil_War

Not noble or gentle enough to share that, however... there is a point where God has to act, and He can send sinners on a foolish errand to bring it about.

NY Times today ran an article on Montgomery, Alabama which combines its Civil War memorials and Confederate sites with its famed desegregation sites. NY Times wasn’t particularly happy about that.

Slavery was an indirect cause, an occasion of moral compromise.

A country that had started with the ostensible thesis that it was about God acted more and more like it was about men. That kind of alternative thesis is needed to keep something like chattel slavery up.

I’m ashamed to see “conservatism” which is about men. It can’t hope to beat “liberalism.”

Who ran the underground railroads? I don’t think there were too many high minded atheists involved.
