Marjory Stoneman Douglas student Alfonso Calderon asserted Wednesday that the NRA is “basically killing children,” prompting zero pushback from CNN’s Wolf Blitzer.

CNN has been notorious for letting victims of the Parkland school shooting smear the NRA, including at their town hall last week where one student insisted that NRA spokeswoman Dana Loesch doesn’t care about her own children.

Actually, the NEA or maybe the AFT bears more responsibility than the NRA, if we are going to assign responsibility by crazy leftist logic.

The NRA had nothing to do with Cruz, and advocates for precisely the kind of law enforcement efforts and responsible firearms usage that would have stopped Cruz from killing anyone.

By contrast, the union school teachers, counselors, and others worked with Cruz for years. They developed the policies, saw his behavior, and to whatever extent it matters, created the environment that "educated" Cruz.

By the indirect blame logic of the left, when students come to school to murder their classmates it really is the fault of their "education". The NEA and the AFT take credit for the good results of their work, under their logic they are responsible for the bad results as well.

So Alfonso Calderon should have said NEA instead of NRA, and perhaps added in the AFT, the Florida Education Association, and the Broward Teachers Union as well.
