GOP spin to Amazon: NRA dustup shows
Atlanta Journal Constitution ^ | 3-2-18 | Greg Bluestein

A common theme is emerging from Georgia GOP leaders asked about how the state’s feud with Delta Air Lines could impact the bid for Amazon’s second headquarters: The Seattle-based tech giant might appreciate some red-state conservatism.

Gov. Nathan Deal conceded that the Legislature’s decision to punish Delta after it cut ties with the National Rifle Association doesn’t help the state’s pitch for Amazon’s 50,000 jobs. But he said the fracas could show off another side of the Peach State. “If you’re looking for a state with diversity, welcome to the state of Georgia. We are a very diverse state. Diversity is not only represented by the color of someone’s skin or their party allegiance, it’s also represented by diversity of different opinions,” Deal said Wednesday. “I think they understand that.”

He was echoed a day later by Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle, who as head of the Senate blocked a lucrative jet fuel tax break for Delta by saying he would “kill” the incentive unless the airline reversed course.

“Georgia has some wonderful economic development announcements that are going to go forward. But within that context, there is diversity in thought,” Cagle said Thursday. “And that diversity in thought, as a state, makes us better. It makes me as an individual better.”

Both officials ticked off other assets, including low tax rates, the state’s workforce and Georgia’s ranking as the top place to do business by a niche business publication.

No mention that Amazon has no problem with Washington State that has much less restrictive gun laws than Georgia, especially with regard to open carry and assault rifles (and all rifles).

I have yet to see any Atlanta media be fair or balanced. They seem to be totally in the tank for Delta in a way they are never in the tank for Chick-Fil-A.

I went on chat with Amazon today to thank them for not disassociating themselves from the NRA. I told them how much of an inconvenience it would be for me to have to cancel my Prime membership. (Amazon is my one guilty pleasure as far as liberal organizations go.) I also sent Walmart a message that I won’t be shopping there anymore due to their policies.

Would you rather have a Democrat?

Sam Nunne is not returning. All that is left are left wing race baiting stupid asses like John Lewis, Hank Johnson, Sanford Bishop, and David Scott. Take your pick.

Delta is engaging in SJW virtue signaling with their NRA move, so of course the AJC et al are siding with Delta.

That may not be true much longer. Since the latest incident, the legislature has gone nuts proposing new restrictions. Won’t affect me, as I plan on relocating to Texas this year (retiring and have family there).

USA Today just reported that only 13 NRA members have ever taken advantage of the flight discount.

Thanks for playing, Delta! Lolololo!!!!

I have to laugh that all the usual suspects who are so quick to scream “Coney Capitalism” at the GOP are now lining up to cry because GA refused to give Delta a “crony capitalist” tax deal.

Delta was trying to repair their PR with the Leftists. They Left, up until the NRA move, was pissed at Delta because half the tax they pay on fuel, that they were asking to get out of, goes to Educational system.

Well done Delta, now everyone is pissed at you.

"“If you’re looking for a state with diversity, welcome to the state of Georgia. We are a very diverse state...” "

"Diversity" is on it's way to becoming the liberish expression for "mental illness."

Being nice to our enemies is not an option. Nathan Deal is one of those enemies.
