I clearly mentioned that in the article. The Left certainly has more time on their hands.

Well, that was the most thoughtful and kindly worded response I’ve had to my post. Most of the other responders were downright rude and mean-spirited. You made your point with gentlemanly aplomb. Thank you.

Are you too old or too afraid to stick your neck were it does not belong. Some of us are fighting the system every day and getting kicked in the teeth for our efforts. I bet we are older than your precious, whiny self.

I’ve been getting kicked in the teeth all evening. I’ve gotten an education. But don’t tell me I’m precious or whiny. That stinks.

I put my job on the line some years ago going public with my libertarian opinions. Fortunately, company lawyers acknowledged my First Amendment rights and came down on my side.

I have lost most of lifelong friends by continuing to express my beliefs personally and publically.

I’ve been fighting the system every day and getting kicked in the teeth for it.

It’s a shame. The scumbag Loyalists never changed. We want to think 1776 was a slam dunk but we have been fighting anti-Americanism since the formation of our nation. We conservatives are the true original liberal. The left is petrified of our response if it had to go full revolutionary but we don’t so they will rope-a-dope us,hit and run, and kill America by a 1000 cuts most of the time with our help. We are being flooded by an invasion of illegals, the Constitution is shrinking as government mostly run by liberals expands like a monster. I have no qualms about being a proactive revolutionary to save America. If that time comes, there is no turning back and our first Civil War and anything seen in the Mideast would seem tame. Let’s be real: half the country is gone. We remotely resemble what the Founders gave us by the grace of God.

Well, that's one of the consequences of free speech. You have to be able to suffer the negative feedback to your stated positions.

You have to hand it to Rudi Dutschke, Antonio Gramsci, Herbert Marcuse, Saul Alinsky...they know how to plan out a hundred year campaign to destroy freedom and democracy in the West. Conservatives have no long-view like that.

Very true. But I am neither precious nor whiny.

I am not whining. I am addressing serious concerns I have about what I believe is the impotence of the conservative movement. Yeah, we win elections, but still lose ground. The budget grows bigger, more and more illegals cross the border, and the Left keeps coming and coming and coming, in our faces day after day after day. And I’m not supposed to be pissed or disillusioned or anything ? And you a-holes have the nerve to call me precious and whiny?

I am a lifelong Patriot and lover of Liberty, and I get trashed everyday for it. Now I’m getting it by my own kind. Say what you will, I’ll live to fight another day.

I never said you were.

Calling me names? Well I guess they were right.

You are a precious and whiny hole. "What kind of hole?" you ask.

Thank you. The Left lives from decade to decade. They are very patient and think long-term strategically. Conservatives live from election to election. They have no long-term strategy. They run like libertarians, and govern like marxists.

I don’t vote for republicans because they never keep their promises. I don’t vote for democrats because they always keep their promises.

Don’t tell me I don’t know what I’m talking about. The GOP and so-called conservatives are a bunch of hypocrites and spineless wimps. Read the following essay—you might learn something.

The Sons of Liberty were rowdy and rough but those with a taste for liberty quietly cheered them on. We need a modern-day parallel. We need heroes.

The snowflakes and cultural warriors today are winning by default. They spout pure madness and/or open communist dogma, with the loving forebearance of what used to be the Press, while we on the right have few heroes to cheer for and the ones we have get no coverage. Maybe we need some muscular college boys to band together for a little extracurricular activity. The Sons of Liberty did a brisk business in bruises, making the opposition think twice about appearing in public.

On the plus side, there is indeed a Silent Majority out here in the hinterlands. There is a milita element that would make our Colonial Minutemen proud, and it could be expanded enormously with just a few phone calls. Most average citizens at least understand the difference between right and wrong, good and evil, and there are millions of veterans whose oath to “support and defend” the Constitution carried no expiration date. All is not lost ... yet.

Our question becomes: How do we stop a cultural (Communist) revolution in the making, especially one as far advanced as the one we now face? Time for some bruises?

You do know the Revolutionary War and Independence was supported by a small minority of the population of the colonies...but look what became of it.

That was beautiful. Instead of brutally criticizing me, you acknowledged that I had serious points to raise. And you summed it up in one sentence, “We need a modern-day parallel (to the Sons of Liberty)....some muscular college boys to band together for a little extracurricular activity. The Sons of Liberty did a brisk business in bruises, making the opposition think twice about appearing in public.”

What a patriot you are. Thank you for your support.

I recall reading that I’d you can get 4% of a population actively involved, that is all it takes to start a revolution.

And that means actively participate. Not just posting memes on social networks. There is a ton of talk, but when the rubber meets the road, most people are busy that day.

Exactly...but we don’t even have a small minority to make some hay. Let’s face it...the American people are a bunch of chicken shits.
