Back in 1964, historian Richard Hofstadter wrote “The Paranoid Style in American Politics.” If the book is ever made into a movie, Joe Scarborough could be cast in the title role.
For on today’s Morning Joe, Scarborough contended that President Trump was speaking seriously when he said that we might have “to give a shot” at the establishment of a president-for-life in the United States.
Scarborough:
“This is important. When Republicans, Gene [Robinson] are saying it’s just a joke, or when Republicans ignore the fact that this man is talking about being President-for-life. If they think that Donald Trump is joking, then they’re fools. And I don’t think they’re fools.”

He’s running out of material for his act...perhaps Joe can explain the dead intern in his office.

Agreed. It feels like every day on Morning Joe is “Can You Top This?” when it comes to raving about the dangers Trump poses to democracy.
People must watch their show for the laughs.
It’s the only possible explanation.

I used to enjoy the show. But it’s become a chore. The relentless anti-Trump hysteria has become so predictable and boring.
Amazing. Trump has trained them to perform like seals. Remember the seals trained to hit the bulbs of horns to produce sounds?
The left seal claps on cue. They repeat every single non sequitur or contrived phrase President Trump spoon feeds the media. Then they regurgitate this all week, allowing the president to bypass any discussion of his moves.
Amazing.
Joe is still getting trolled by Trump. This is awesome! :)
If Trump wanted to declare himself a dictator, the fake news media couldn’t stop him.
But he’s enjoying them finding new things to be outraged about every day.
He doesn’t have to be a dictator when they inadvertently help him to dominate the 24/7 news cycle.
The fake news media is obsessed with Trump.
How the hell is TRUMP going to be President for Life if Congress doesn't pass a Legislation for it?
Some people I know eat this stuff up as Gospel truth
