Really happy to read this. Should have happened sooner.

You are one dense individual. No one is arguing with you about that. OK? We get it. OK? We understand it. OK?

That is not what the pardon is about. During the campaign, Trump used this submariner as an object lesson. He compared the justice received for someone with no power (who went to jail) versus someone powerful whose punishment is nothing even though everyone knows what she did was much much worse.

I read every response to your post and most all let you know this was a broader lesson about justice for the powerful vs. justice for the weak. You refuse to understand that or even acknowledge it.

Trump and everyone else has run circles around you on this. The concept is powerful and effective and life affirming, particularly since there was nothing classified revealed in the photos.

Your response about being in battle and the location of an enemy being figured out, etc. shows how lost you are with this issue and your complete inability to understand the lesson of the pardon. Everyone is at parade rest and you are at attention and ready to faint for standing so long.

That’s right. You are resting, and I’m paying full attention. I think the military classifies important information for a reason, and that violating security is very serious.

I will continue paying attention to that, and you can remain at rest.

Understood. Wonder if as commander and chief he could have retroactively downgraded to an article 15?

I am not sure if it is as simple as an Article 15.

These men are taught very well NOT TO take pictures on the sub, and he did it anyway.

I know he turned himself in. Which is a mitigating factor.

Not that I would have a problem with it if they did. An Article 15, and tossed off the sub, and put on guard duty in Alaska, but something serious... you absolutely need to send a string message.

Some serious non-judicial punishment would have been acceptable. Your suggestions are good ones. The point must be made not to take lightly any level of classification.
