Attorney General Jeff Sessions on Saturday slammed “activist judges,” whom he accused of overreaching and paralyzing the government by shutting down Trump-era policies they object to via nationwide injunctions.
At a Federalist Society event at Georgetown University, Sessions blasted judges who have shut down controversial Trump-era policies such as denying funding for so-called “sanctuary cities” and repealing the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
“The court is not superior; the court does not get to have the final word in every dispute, give me a break,” he said.
He said the vehicle of choice for "activist judges" is nationwide injunctions -- orders that block the federal government from enforcing a law or policy across the entire country.
"It would be fitting to call them nonparty injunctions or limitless injunctions, since they bind all of America and grant relief to those who are not parties to the case," he said.

There’s not a thing AG Sessions can do about but the legislative branch can sure do something about it.
They’d only have to impeach a couple of these overreaching activist judges and the remaining may just get the message.
The house has the “power of the purse”. They can defund any court that make a ruling that is extra constitutional.
Jeff, you need to get your prosecutors in Vegas off their appeals to reinstate the charges against the Bundy’s for starters.

The border needs a wall and we need to shut down cheap labor flow through work visas as well.
Using emotional arguments about sanctuary cities in courts or elsewhere doesn’t build a wall or limit the work visas for non-citizens.
Its just an emotional election year 2018 diversion Mr. Gee Oh Pee.......
They aren’t going to do it.
This is a diversion so the Cheap Labor Express flow of cheap labor can go by unimpeded.
The RINO’s in Congress won’t do anything about it other than talk, propose bills that go nowhere list goes on.....

Then do something about it, Jeff.
How does a federal district court have any jurisdiction outside of his district? Or a federal circuit court outside of its circuit? How can one district court judge bind every other district judge in the nation with a “nationwide” injunction?
Bring a case before the Supremes to determine this and if that doesn’t put an end to it put pressure on McConnell/Ryan to enact legislation to prevent district courts from purporting to exercise power outside the confines of their district and circuit courts from purporting to exercise power outside their circuits.
Is Sessions developing backbone?
