President Donald J. Trump used his weekly address to discuss the rampant problem of liberal public servants defying federal immigration law in hopes of protecting illegal aliens from deportation. In reality, these actions committed by mostly Democratic office holders endanger the community and American citizens.
“Protecting the safety and well-being of American Citizens is my highest duty as President. Yet, lawless sanctuary jurisdictions are nullifying federal law, obstructing immigration enforcement, and releasing thousands of criminal aliens into U.S. communities to prey on innocent victims. Its absolutely terrible,” the president said.
The 45th commander-in-chief then went on to highlight notable examples of ICE arresting illegal aliens convicted of gruesome crimes. But, he also pointed out the Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf who went so far as to issue a warning to residents of an impending ICE deportation operation.
“And last week, the mayor of Oakland warned criminal aliens of a coming ICE enforcement action giving them time to scatter and hide from authorities. The mayors conduct directly threatened the safety of federal immigration officers and the law-abiding Americans in her community.
The State of California is sheltering dangerous criminals in a brazen and lawless attack on our Constitutional system of government. Every state in our Union is subject to the laws and Constitution of the United States including California. Yet California’s leaders are in open defiance of federal law. They don’t care about crime. They don’t care about death and killings. They don’t care about robberies. They don’t care about the kind of things that you and I care about.”

Trump went after the same theme in his PA speech tonight: called the Democrats the Party Of Sanctuary Cities.
Ouch! That’ll leave a mark as he can tie them in to privileging criminal aliens over law-abiding American citizens.
He’s boxing them in and painting as being out of the mainstream.

Where are the sanctuaries for Americans? It seems like the Democrats have defiled them all.
Or to put it a better way, all American cities should be sanctuaries for Americans. They should be places where Americans can walk the streets in safety, not be harassed by gang members or Islamic thugs and be able to earn a decent living.
Absolutely correct. Illegal criminal invaders are like viruses preying on Americans. When they are (rightfully) pursued, sanctuary states and sanctuary cities allow them, like the viruses they are, to hide from “treatment” (arrest and deportation), like viral pathogens hiding in bone marrow to avoid detection.

Watched the video over @ CTH, half listening, but that one line registered immediately, it is a winner and sums it all up beautifully, minimalistically, and darn near Reaganesque. He is framing them for 18’ they own it, an will continue to own it until Nov 18. The E-GOP, is to stupid to run with it, however he will campaign for Trumpian candidates that will vote this way after being sworn in, in Jan of 19’. Greatest POTUS evah, 1/2 the country is too stupid to see it....
Well, you are CIC, do something about it. It only took a whisper in Ol Deep State Sessions ear to ban bump stocks. Whisper again and have these scumbags arrested for breaking several laws that are on the books. Heaven knows law biding Citizens get arrested every day for NOT breaking the law but again, they are not mayors, governors and secretary of states.

Illegals vote in California elections... And if they don’t have the time to vote, some friendly precinct worker can haul out their name and vote FOR them... same way they vote FOR the dead...
I believe the use of the term "Sanctuary Cities" is intentional and once again the left has hijacked something good and made it bad just like the gay left did with the rainbow.
Every time I hear someone say "Sanctuary City" it irritates me even more because of how the left hijacked it.
They hate the bible and Christianity unless they can use those principles to advance their own marxist agenda and hold onto their own power.
