Sorry, neither I nor any of the CPL (concealed pistol license) holders I know required federal funding to obtain our CPLs. We paid $160.00, about 100 rounds of ammunition, and two days for our licenses.

In other words, I don't believe the fed.gov needs to get into paying for folks’ licenses. I imagine that if the school boards asked, they would find plenty of already licensed teachers who would love to be able to carry at school. Federal funding just screams misappropriation.

Sometimes, we don't need the government and their offer of help. ;)

I would agree with you about the CCL but we are discussing an advanced course in handling a shooter in a school. There are some situations that applicants should be trained for and its even possible that the training will show some people who are not ready to accept this responsibility.

If you are going to require extra training, then the participants deserve to be paid for same.

Yeah I read that too and thought to myself, I am getting damn tired of every time some whack job does something we have to end up forking over more of our money to subsidize SOMETHING.

Just another fact that the FERAL Government thinks that if you throw money at it, it will fix it. Of course you will have to create another bureaucratic desk job to oversee it growing government even more.
