I know someone whose DNA results contradicted the “family history” passed down from their grandparents. When she told her siblings they refused to believe it and now won’t speak to her.

Curious quote. She has taken the test you take that to the bank. It came back with no Indian markers or.. It came back with enough to embarrass her opponents and she will spring it at just the right time.
When you have dug yourself into a deep hole of lies, it is advisable to quit digging.
She just can not help lying, it is a natural instinct to her.
Seems to me a dna test would not take anything away from her if her story is true.
If it were me and the story was true I’d take that test and shove the confirming results in my critics faces. Big loss of cred for them for harping on such an issue for so long. I would never let them live it down.

That Chuck Todd was pressing her about the DNA test tells me some other Dem faction wants to take Warren out of contention for 2020 as a Presidential candidate. Probably Hillary “It’s Still My Turn - Dammit” Clinton.
Pocahontas fears the DNA test because she knows it will destroy her credibility. And possibly expose her to law suits for taking advantage of something she doesn’t have.

She ought to just say “It looks as if I was mistaken about my Indian heritage, sorry about that,” and let it blow over. But no, she’s going to hunker down and keep it alive as an issue for as many years as she wants to stay in politics. So in addition to not being an Indian, she’s obviously an ass.
I’d like to see every last white kid check the ‘Native American’ box on college and employment applications. And have a good story ready: “When I was a little kid, my great uncle told me that my great-grandfather was part Cherokee.”
Then sit back and collect minority set-asides and scholarships. How could they stop you from doing that?
Now, her story is that her mother was part Native American.
Previously, she claimed that, when she was around age 9, her grandmother told her she had high cheekbones. She took that to indicate she was of Native American descent.
This mommy and daddy story sounds too much like a new lie to cover for the previous lie. If her mother from Oklahoma were half NA, her mother would likely be in the tribal rolls. So far, she has not produced that kind of evidence.
Bitterly clinging to a lie. Probably already had the test done secretly.
She believes she is an Indian, so she is an Indian.
If she believed she was a male, she would be a male.
Yet she accuses others of not believing in the science of global warming.
