Three innocents were shot and killed at the Veterans Home of California in Yountville, CA, on Friday despite California’s stringent gun controls.
Breitbart News reported that the Veterans Home came under attack Friday morning and the San Diego Union-Tribune reported the facility was placed on lockdown around 10:40 am local time.
Reports throughout the day indicated three hostages were being held and law enforcement reached the hostages around 6 pm to find them deceased. The Press Democrat identified the three victims as “Pathway Home’s executive director, Christine Loeber, staff therapist Jen Golick and Jennifer Gonzales, a psychologist with the San Francisco Department of Veterans Affairs Healthcare System.”
The alleged gunman, 36-year-old Albert Wong, was also dead.
Wong was described as a “decorated Army veteran” who entered the Veterans Home “with a high-powered rifle.”

Liberal women with no combat experience and minimal experience in therapy except in a prison environment where the relationship is very adversary, are working with our vets and trying to mold them into their liberal anti-gun values.

It’s not going to happen. They are trying to take the guns away from vets claiming they have mental disorders.

Very few of the VA mental health workers have military experience and almost none have combat experience.

Gun control did not work.

It seems the spat was with the admin and services of this place as no veterans were injured.

The alleged victims: executive director, staff therapist, psychologist and the gunman was the vet.
The question is was he justified in shooting these liberals?

Sure don’t know how to treat PSTD.

Is it me or are doctors less educated than they were 15 yrs ago? Now all you see in the ER are PA’s my new Primiary is a APN a Under Educated Nurse playing Internist, who can’t deal with a Senior patient who sees 5 Specialist and is a nightmare for them to treat. All she has to do is run blood work and keep scripts filled. Don’t need her for anything else. In fact I fired her. She refused to write the 1 med that controls 4 health issues. Valium, ‘your addicted’..how can you be addicted if you don’t go through Withdrawl, just go into Hypertension from the INCREASED PAIN you just caused. Cold Turkey no Taper offered. Her refusal has resulted in a new drug reaction, and 2 ER trips for Feb. whith those IDIOTS treating the wrong pain. Gastro spasms don’t respond to Dilauded. And they let my BP get to high with out monitoring, I’m a Heart patient and they are told that.

I’m sorry for your mistreatment. You are correct.

I’ve heard many similar stories from active duty vets being taken off high doses of benzos cold turkey.

And to think, Twenty eight years ago California passed an AW ban and stringent new requirements for handguns.

Killers used guns in 1,368 California homicides in 2016

How did that work out for them!

freepers can sometimes show their true colors of hatred and bitterness and its really showing on this thread...

THREE WOMEN MURDERED and yet we have yahoos making out like it was some kind of justified killing....

I don't care if they were liberal/leftist/ugly/white or any of that....THREE PEOPLE WERE MURDERED by a deranged immoral vet and we're asking if it was justified?....

Thank you for saying something.

Not that it makes any difference to people consumed with kneejerk hatred, but...

There’s no evidence of the political persuasions of these three women.

Pathway Home, the target of these murders, is a private non-profit corporation. It is not part of the VA.

The one woman who had a previous association with law enforcement provided private counseling to the deputies of Santa Rosa. She did not work for the prison system, nor did she counsel inmates.

One of the women was 7 months pregnant. Maybe the murder of her unborn child was also justified in the minds of some?

And it doesn’t have to be a VA facility. We don’t qualify for VA. Between 2 SS checks and a Navy pension you make to much for the Cap.

Hostage crisis prompts California police union to ask for weapons*

A hostage crisis at a state veterans home on Friday prompted a California law enforcement union to repeat its appeal to arm the officers who provide security at state hospitals and veterans’ facilities.

Fewer than nine unarmed state public safety officers work at the Yountville Veterans Home in Napa County, where a man armed with a rifle exchanged gunfire with police and took three employees of a veterans counseling program hostage.

The California State Law Enforcement Association, a union that represents a variety of public safety employees, released a statement on Friday afternoon urging the California Department of Veterans Affairs to begin arming officers at Yountville.

“Despite being unarmed, they are tasked with the responsibility of protecting a very large campus of residents, staff, and visitors 24 hours a day, and local law enforcement relies on these public safety officers as the front-line security for the hospital,” the statement read.

In 2012, Gov. Jerry Brown vetoed a bill that would have required the Department of State Hospitals to begin arming CSLEA-represented officers at its sites. The bill passed unanimously in the Senate and by a 78-1 margin in the Assembly.

*Albert Wong, the killer apparently came into the building with Ammo hanging around his neck and a rifle in his hand. Then, he told the other vets, they could leave.

Next, he called out the names of the 3 women, whom he killed later and took them to a second floor room and then killed them. One was pregnant. Then he killed himself.

If there were armed guards, they might have prevented the slaughter.
