I moved to Prescott Valley AZ after 63 years, 8 months, and 19 days in CA.

Great to get free plastic bags in the supermarket, buy a firearm and get it in five minutes, pay $2.68 per gallon for premium gasoline, and get complemented several times on your MAGA cap in the local Costco.

Ex-Bay Area resident here. Left in 2008. I tried Las Vegas for a couple of years, then moved to Arizona. It has everything you want and then some. The summers keep out most California liberals, gun rights are excellent, economy is pretty good, housing is booming. The Phoenix area has the most jobs of course, but you can pick great conservative neighborhoods to live in nearby. Don’t be scared off by sordid tales of illegals and cartel murders - those are far less in evidence here than in California.

Nevada went for Hillary and it will go for the next Rat as well.

You’re just moving from a Pot with a fast boil to one with a slow boil. Either way you’re cooked.

Arizona or Idaho would at least give you a chance.

I’m in CA as well. Lived here for the past 60 Years. I’ve been trying to convince Mrs. KC to move to Flagstaff, AZ.

So far she isn’t on board, but I persist. LOL

Well, you’re basically living in the Venezuela of the United States, so practically anywhere you move will be an upgrade. I fled the North Korea if North America (NY) about 15 years ago and don’t miss it whatsoever.

I’ve only been to Vegas, but the rest of Nevada sounds really nice from what I’ve heard. Like many states with illegal immigration problems, it’s starting to tilt a little blue, but depending on the stage of your life it’s probably worth the upgrade.

Also, you can have your mountain cabin an hour away in Payson, and get all the benefits of Northern Nevada right nearby. :)

It depends what you mean "liberal spit-hole". Nevada already is liberal in the elections. But the rural area you wish to relocate to should remain safe.

Liberals need to cluster together in urban termite mounds in order to survive. Nothing they fear so much as rural areas with gun owners.

Cities are liberal, rural areas are Conservative. It’s going to be that way in any state.

When people asked me some years ago, “how are you going to move out of California?” I said, “I’m taking I-40 east.” That’s really all it takes. I-10, or I-80 are also good, but US 395 will also work on the northern sections.

Good luck to you.

Inside of ten years Nevada will become another Colorado...meaning it will be yet another state that’s been taken over by the anti-American left.

I’d suggest looking at Idaho, Utah, or Montana.

Come on down to the Missouri Ozarks.
Low taxes, low cost of living, fishing year round, deer are plentiful, turkey season spring and fall, shoot your gun, lake front or lake view.
Did I mention low taxes ?

It’s headed to darker shades of blue, but it will take a long long time to reach the level of blue CA is.

“My biggest concern is that Nevada will become a liberal spit-hole like California some time after I move there.”

Yep! Dems tend to pollute any area they move to. Just look at South Florida.

Eastern Washington in the Columbia basin, Tri Citys area (Kennewick, Pasco, Richland). VERY conservative polically. Elevation of 379 above sea level, dry hot summers, mild spring and fall and winters range from cold (0-30) to mild. This year was very mild and sone days close to mid 50’s and no snow. Most snow is usually gone in about a week.

Of course we still have to deal with the Westside uber-libs, but we have no state income tax

Depends on how comfortable you are with being in a remote, very low population density area.

I found an island in Southeast Alaska that I think is nearly perfect for my needs. Most people wouldn’t even consider it because you can’t just drive here (Or drive away), but the town is very conservative. 2500 people, 12 churches, two bars, two grocery stores, two hardware stores (That sell guns)and no roads connecting to any other town or city. The economy is based on commercial fishing with two packing plants and excellent harbors. Access by air or boat only.

Did I mention that it is an outdoorsman’s paradise? Best hunting and fishing in the world. You being from the Southwest probably would not like it much though. It is in the Tongass, a cool and wet sub-arctic/Northern temperate rain forest. But then, I came here after 30 years in Deep Blue Hawaii so...

The tech industry has discovered Utah in large numbers, as the next available overflow from the Bay Area.

Downtown Salt Lake is now pure blue.

My inlaws just sold their house in Thousand Oaks, CA (Ventura Co) CA. They are the last of them. 6 Brothers have moved. 3 to CO, 1 to WY, and 2 to CDA/Sandpoint, ID.

They close on the house in 2 weeks and everyone of them has been in CA since 1952. Damn sad for them, but they are ecstatic.
