Pollster Testifies Most Kansas Voters Can Prove Citizenship

A pollster hired by Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach testified Monday that a survey of 500 adults he conducted found just one person who couldn't produce a document proving U.S. citizenship.

The Topeka Capital-Journal reported his testimony came on the seventh day of a federal bench trial challenging Kansas' proof-of-citizenship requirement.

Pollster Pat McFerron also acknowledged possible bias in his survey under questioning by an attorney for the American Civil Liberties Union.

It is only reasonable to ask for proof of citizenship, when first registering to vote.

So, guess that since the vast majority of doctors out there can show their med school degrees, we no longer have to care whether or not our physician has one then?

When are we going to stop putting up with such idiots?

I could not support this more.

National implementation would truly save our Republic.

Secretary Kobach is during amazing work.

Most??? It is supposed to be 100%. And, proof of actually being a Kansas resident, eligible to vote and in the correct precinct. 100%.

“500 adults” - what a pathetically small sample. Were all named Smith, Jones, Brown, Edwards, Burke, etc? No Perez, Rodriguez, Sanchez, Hernández, Gomez, Flores?

Get back to me when the sample size is 100,000.

A year or two ago, knowing that I'd be out of state on Election Day,I went to Town Hall to get an absentee ballot.Expecting to be required to show ID I reached for my wallet when the Town Clerk said it wasn't necessary.Surprised,I asked here how she knows that I'm a resident of the town and that I'm a US citizen.

She replied that Massachusetts law made it illegal for any election official to demand an ID from anyone registering to vote or at a polling place.Even more astounded I asked her another question about citizenship. At that point her boss came to the window and basically accused me of being a racist.

Yes,boys and girls...welcome to Massachusetts,The Gay State!

“””Pollster Testifies Most Kansas Voters Can Prove Citizenship”””

So if most Kansas voters can prove citizenship, then it should be ‘no big deal’ for them to do so.

Wouldn’t it be nice for government to put an issue behind itself, just ONCE!!!!

...a survey of 500 adults he conducted found just one person who couldn't produce a document proving U.S. citizenship.

Was that one person a non-citizen?

Major problem here, with the selection of the sample group.

One suspects that of the illegal aliens who vote, many are experts at evading polls, and many more can (fraudulently, of course) "prove" citizenship.

One other consideration, if an illegal chooses to vote (illegally), that criminal would have no compunction for voting multiple times. (Could be extra Dem-dollars in it, oui?)

In Rock Ridge, 30 out of 30 of the town council members had the last name “Johnson”.

Obscure “Blazing Saddles” reference, but just as applicable as this asshat’s testimony.

You know there was a Perez, Rodriguez, Sanchez, Hernandez, Gomez, and Flores living in what became the United States long before the first Smith, Jones, Brown, Edwards, and Burke.

I know that and I have a lot of friends with those names who were born here and are all U.S. citizens. That wasn’t meant to be racist...just pointing out how easy it would be for a crooked pollster to construct a poll sample that would have very low probability of having any illegal aliens on it.
