I walked by the television this morning and saw Trump's picture and the block letters "FACEBOOK SCANDAL" in red on a blue background. The sound was turned down, but the earnest-appearing, attractive young woman in a tight black form fitting dress was clearly portraying the appropriate gravity for this "situation". It was the same thing I saw last night before going to bed, an older, serious looking man with a similar backdrop and identical grave look on his face. Again, the sound was turned down, but it is clear there is a real problem in American society right now.
And I don't think it has anything to do with Trump and FaceBook.
It is related to way events have been unfolding for the past 3-6 months with regard to "Russian Collusion".
There is no "Russian Collusion" (unless it was with the DNC and Clinton campaign).
It has long become evident, even to those who had a stake in generating the fake crisis to cover up their own misdeeds, "That dog won't hunt". It is worthless because it is untrue.
And like a dinosaur struggling in the La Brea Tar Pits, the more they struggled with it, the more scrutiny it brought to the events, and even the most dimwitted of slavish drones are starting to realize there was a heinous abuse of government power hidden under the "Russian Collusion" charge, and that the more it is poked at, the more revealing of leftist abuse of institutions and government power it becomes.
The Left believes in their arrogance that most of the people consuming those deceits will be watching the shiny object so closely that they will fail to notice the abrupt change the focus in mid-stream. (Sadly enough, true in many cases.)
So they switched seamlessly, the players, the DNC, The Democratic Party, and the networks all in lockstep (oddly enough) together. Then it became the shared fantasy, scandal du jour, and smokescreen of "Obstruction of Justice".
Except that isn't going to work either.
As the noose tightens and more information is revealed, the participants are forced to switch to a different line of defense. All of them together almost at the same time. The media touting it. The politicians screaming it. Appearing on all the evening news and morning shows.
This time it was a prostitute. This was largely dead from the start when the presence of a non-disclosure agreement was revealed, and that the prostitute had violated it with a possible multi-million dollar penalty for her possible. Looks like it is heading back into court, but like any prostitute, she recognizes the value of $130K in hand with a signed non-disclosure, versus paying a possible $20 million in penalties for violating it. There are still people who are grasping at this, but the ones who have enough functioning gray matter remaining can see the writing on the wall, and know this it a dead end.
So, they immediately have moved on to a new "Scandal", that of the "Cambridge Analytica/FaceBook Scandal. I have walked by televisions multiple times in the past two days, and the story I see, in large block letters with some news-floozy in the foreground proclaim the "Trump Campaign Scandal". (It is as if there actually was a "talking point memo" sent out to get everyone in unison on the same page. However, even the spittle-lipped fools on the Left know this is going nowhere.
Like an untethered man sliding off an angled roof to a four story drop onto the concrete parking lot below, the players on the left, the Democratic Party, the "True Believers" on the Left, and to some degree, the Media are scrambling frantically, their eyes bugging out, and teeth pulled back into a grimace, casting about for any rope, protuberance, or miracle to save them before they plummet off the edge towards their fate as flattened political, legal, and ethical road-kill on the hard concrete four stories below.
Reminds me of the Alec Baldwin character in the movie "Team America" where, as he tries to stave off the inevitable Bonnie and Clyde style defeat heading towards him at the hands of Kim Jong-il, he stutters "...The...Global warming and...Corporate America..."
Here is the problem for the left: There is no "Russian Collusion". There is no "Obstruction of Justice". Nobody cares about the prostitute. The Facebook "Scandal" is shown to be the same methods used by Obama and a host of other politicians.
When the Mueller Travesty of an Investigation is finally stopped because there is no "There" there and the dust settles, there is going to still be a spotlight shining. And it is going to be shining in areas the CIA, FBI, Justice Dept, FISA Court, DNC, Clinton Campaign, Clinton Foundation, and Barack Obama don't want illuminated.
And this is frightening to the Left.
It frightens them because someone they bullied actually swings back and hits them square in the nose.

Absolutely correct. What Cambridge Analytica did was the same thing the Obama campaign did in 2012, but FaceBook was in the tank for Obama so they said nothing publicly.
These are all distraction attempts trying to deflect what cannot be deflected. Or at least I sure as heck hope they can't.
Yes! After all these months of inaction. I hope, as Dan Bongino is fond of pointing out, that things are going on behind the scenes...

There are huge swaths of citizens who do not get the real, hard news that is happening in this country. The national Media decides what IS news and that’s what they report. I switched to CNN last Friday night for about 3 minutes. Don Lemon was on with John Dean and a woman that I cannot identify, but she appeared to be from India or from somewhere around that county. They proclaimed that the firing of McCabe was just to try to knock Stormy Daniels out of the news, and they announced that that would not happen. So, Stormy Daniels is more important to CNN than the acting Director of the FBI, lyiing under oath and being fired. Got it.
Look on the bright side- if Facebook fails 90% of the left will be have no news source.
Lots of discusison on the taken for fact "Mueller is considering charging Trump with obstruction." The last time that came up, nine months ago, there was considerable pushback that Mueller was conflicted out of that role. This time there is no pushback against the assumption.
The press has lost, but is never going to admit it or change direction. They are part of the #resistance, the political left/communist. Yellow journaism is mainstream.
But yes, one less source is good. 8>)

As to others you mention - one would need TV and be around when they are spewing their bile-
No TV and work for a living either sleeping or working

Good vanity. The left-media indeed always has a shiny object at the ready to deflect any discussion of the greatest betrayal ever of our nation. From Obama downward to Strzok, all deserve a visit to a grand jury.

I hope they are just being careful so they don’t screw it up, but then...I am an optimist!
