Obama used executive powers to benefit close friends' private investment firms: Book

President Obama used his executive powers to attack industries to lower the value of certain companies, allowing his friends in the private sector to swoop in and buy them up at reduced prices, according to Peter Schweizer’s new book Secret Empires: How Our Politicians Hide Corruption and Enrich Their Families and Friends.

The book, released Tuesday, said Obama and his administration would deem industries either destructive to the environment or exploitative for the financial and professional gain of his friends, including industries such as coal mining, offshore drilling, cash advance companies, and for-profit colleges.

This by itself...is deserving of a special counsel to check out the facts. If any of this is true....you’d have to drag in each party....ask what they donated to get this privilege, what they bought, and the profit situation. I think in each case....every penny of the profit ought to be returned to the company, and some fine paid by the individual to avoid jail. Pretty sick behavior if any of this is true.

Here is the audio of an interview of Peter Schweizer last night on Brietbart Radio with Rebecca Mansour.

Schewizer gives a good set of examples of DC corruption from his book, including Joe Biden, John Kerry, and Mitch McConnell.

And I bet O’s got a piece of the businesses he helped nad is still pocketing.

Americans demand a “Leave Office, Go Home and Shut up” law. We are totally sick of eternal presidencies——Clinton and Obama seem to think they were elected for life. Worse, these greedsters are exploiting the office of the presidency to get-rich-quick.
Obama’s foundation and his “Chicago resting place”-—his library—are awash in “donations.”

Americans demand to know if the billions this sucker handed out to Muslims and radical lefties are now his big buck contributors.Meaning your taxes are still at work.....making the Obamas rich.

ACTION NOW-—demand laws outlawing these exploitative ex-presidential activities.

Marauding ex-president’s like Clinton and Obama MUST be reigned in from their crass exploitation of the presidency to make themselves get-rich-quick.

(HAT TIP TILTED IRISH KILT) what we need is a “Presidential Entrepreneur, Enterprise Law” that states once the ex-prez pockets more than the retirement salary, pensions, Secret Service and other perks (amt to be determined) they are now considered to be running a money-making corporation or business for their own profit.

That post-presidency businesses could include (A) speaking engagements, (B) consultancies, (C) organizing personal or political business strategies, (D) investment opportunities, (E) money-gathering foundations, (F) profit-making presidential centers/libraries, (G) selling access to govt entities and individuals, and/or, (H) guest appearances for money.

Taxpayers should not be subsidizing any such personal business or personal security, or subsidizing the success of the ex-president’s business ventures.

The law should regularly evaluate the income-—amid risks and returns-—then forthrightly terminate tax-funding.

Once an ex-president reaches the law’s dollar limit, they can continue to receive the Presidential pension, but Secret Service security is dropped, as is their direct access to classified intel, confidential memos and Congressional committee reports.

ACTION NOW

the current Forbes billionaire issue lists Barack Obama with a fortune valued at 2.9 billion

I can remember when he lacked the resources to buy a house.

The democrats are all crooks. many should be cheated out of their fortunes by death

There's no doubt in my mind that the auto industry was also "devalued" in order for Obama's friends to swoop right in and take over. After the GM "reorganization", I'm pretty sure that thee were many Obama "acquaintances" that got moved into the cushy GM high management ranks, and also moved in to buy out and revive the many "closed down" dealerships. What better way to get political funding than to have industries and businesses controlled "from above".?

Vachel Lindsay on twitter said... "So Obama's buddies set up an investment company, called Vistria. Obama would attack a US company, causing it to lose value and become a cheap investment. Vistria would move in. Oh, Obama goons also worked at Vistria. RAMPANT corruption, folks 👇"
