2 Republican senators suggest they’d support impeaching Trump if he fired Mueller (Flake & Graham)

Amid recent chatter that Trump could fire special counsel Robert Mueller, Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Jeff Flake (R-AZ) both suggested Tuesday that if the president took that step, impeachment would be the appropriate response.

Graham and Flake’s commitments to this position were hardly rock-solid and may well not be shared by very many other Republicans in the Senate (or the House of Representatives, which is where the impeachment process would have to begin). Still, the statements are a significant warning to Trump from two members of his own party about how Mueller’s dismissal could end for him.

First, when asked by radio host Hugh Hewitt Tuesday morning if firing Mueller would be an impeachable offense, Graham responded, “Probably so, if he did it without cause.”

Neither of them has a say on impeachment.

They will only have a vote on removal if the House impeaches.

Politisluts. I think they actually KNOW POTUS is NOT going to fire Mueller. They’re just advertising their availability to be bought. Like a prosty on the street corner posing with a lot of leg exposed. IMHO.

Impeachment for doing the same Andrew Johnson did in 1867?

Executive branch officials serve at the pleasure of the President and he may remove them at any time without having to give a reason.

Its part of the separation of powers in which Congress has no say.

If President Trump wanted to fire Mueller, Flake and Graham may think that’s an unwise move on his party but it wouldn’t constitute grounds to impeach him.

Two of the most egregious morons in the Senate. They are straight-out traitors and should be censored. They should be thrown off whatever committees they sit on and tossed out the door. The taxpayers deserve a heck of a lot more for their money than these two fools, always making trouble and doing nothing whatsoever useful for the American people.

I agree.

It is time, in my humble opinion.

Can him, Mr. President.

“I think they actually KNOW POTUS is NOT going to fire Mueller.”

Trump HAS TO FIRE Mueller or Mueller is going to give the Repukis in congress a legal fig leaf in which to remove Trump.

Imo, he will fire his ass. Either way, they’re going to try and impeach him. When and if they do, it’s go time.

First of all, the president has that Constitutional authority, and secondly, you need an actual crime to impeach the president. What are these people, idiots?
