I just watched Goodfellas,one of my all time favorite films,for about the 50th time the other day.I'm always struck by the scene where Karen,Henry Hill's wife,sticks a pistol into the front of her underwear as the police were raiding the house.My reaction is always.."ouch,that's gonna leave a mark" .

Saw a story a while back on a Virginia (want to say Norfolk area, but my memory is hazy) woman who designed a sports bra which concealed a knife.
She was going after the market of women joggers who might run into unpleasant strangers, and wanted some protection against them.
