What a fundamentally ignorant and dishonest statement. Donald Trump did not "seize power"; "The support of the majority of the American people" is not the criterion for determining who is elected President, any more than the number of hits by a baseball team determines who wins the World Series.
Now, I haven't actually investigated - is this Jesse Ferguson perhaps a ten-year-old child? If so, then the appallingly-poor level of knowledge and understanding displayed in the article's writing, as well as its faulty premise, might be excusable. But if Jesse Ferguson is actually an adult whose writing displays all of the brilliance of a (slow) child, then the only proper response is to ridicule both Ferguson and CNN for cranking out such tripe.

Great point. The Demonrats ignore that, of course, most of them because they weren't even born then. I think it was the December issue of Time Magazine had Clintoon's picture on the front, with big letters screaming, "MANDATE FOR CHANGE". 43%, big mandate. Trump got more than that.
I think they already know the difference. Democrats are “chosen by the people” while Republicans “seize power” or are “selected, not elected.”
