It’s hard for libs to be store snobs when they are living with crushing student and consumer loan debt.
Yeah, but how much will a trillion dollars be worth when they reach that net worth? Most likely less than its worth today.
Obviously it depends on growth in online sales. That’s were the Amazon vs. Walmart race will be interesting. I noticed Walmart has introduced in store scanners for customers to use as they shop. And Amazon is looking at purchasing some of the Toys R US locations. That’s an admission on the part of Amazon.
I’ve made it a practice to talk to the online sales delivery person at Walmarts. Online sales are going up.
Mardi Gras pics show lots of trannies in their desired natural states.
Online sales with store pickup is coming quickly. Cuts theft.
Food markets will remain for shoppers. And grow.
Watch for robots in stores, too, directing customers and doing other tasks.
I had culture shock when we moved here from Atlanta 8 years ago. I could load my groceries with my babies in the car and NO FEAR of carjacking! Talk about liberating!!! I would leave my doors unlocked just for the sheer freedom of it, knowing I was now in one of the last patches of untarnished Christian America.
Now...not so sure how long that’s going to last. Old Alice seems hell bent on “enriching” us with the values of the coastal elites. First bringing in the art world and then the Gina Davis Bentonville film fest (”BFF - Include.” as if that isn’t a glaring red flag). Now I’ve noticed on Facebook there’s a small group working on a Rogers Pride event.
It was beautiful while it lasted.
> DEMOCRATS have always shopped at Walmart just not the wealthy ones.
So, you’re saying its transitioned from “low brow” to “high-low brow”?
Which is why I hardly go to Wal-Mart. My time is worth something. If I stand in line 45 minutes to save $5.00, its not worth it to me!

I don’t blame you and feel the same way. But that is a broad statement and you must live in a big city. I live in a town of about 20,000 and have never had to wait more than 10 minutes and that was during busy times.
I have my own reasons for avoiding Wal-mart, mostly because of the high concentration of “no habla inglés” non-citizen patrons at the ones around me.
I’ve found that any savings that I used to realize at Wal-mart have evaporated. Maybe a cent or two here or there, but their prices pretty much track everyone else now.
And what most people don’t know is that products produced to be sold at WM are inferior quality compared to the SAME products sold elsewhere.
Walmart has a 10’ rule. If a customer comes within 10’ of an associate, the associate is supposed to ask the customer needs assistance.
If I know it is near the auto service part of the store, I will sometime use that entrance and the checkstand there going in and out.
In the last 10 years, I have NEVER been to a Walmart that had more than 3 registers open. I have been on vacation in many other cities and it is ALWAYS the same.
They just DON’T care if we have to wait in 20 person deep lines.
Sorry, but my time is worth something to me. If I don’t save at least $20.00, it is not worth it to me.
I agree with that also. My wife was feeling down (she does all the shopping usually), so I went to Walmart to do the food shopping.
I spent $150, and I know I saved money, but it was a real pain standing in line 27 minutes, because they won’t have more than 3 lines open.
You sound like a sucker for punishment. You should quit going to Walmart altogether.
Mostly, I do. Like I mentioned earlier, if I can save enough, I will suck it up and go. Otherwise, I’ll pay a little extra to avoid the aggravation.
Best wishes.
