Nancy Pelosi could unexpectedly deliver Republicans their worst nightmare

WASHINGTON — House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi is a favorite target for Republican candidates and groups to tie to their opponents and paint them as out of touch, elitist, or excessively liberal — but her fundraising prowess still proves to be a massive benefit to Democrats.

While Pelosi has remained adamant that she will stay on as leader and shrugged off the handful of Democratic candidates across the US who have distanced themselves from her, the possibility that she would step down to assume a purely fundraising role is a prospect that terrifies Republicans.

Though Pelosi has been the subject of numerous attack ads from Republicans, she hauled in nearly $50 million for House Democrats last year, while her Republican counterpart in the House, Paul Ryan, brought in $44 million.

One GOP operative mused that because Pelosi's stepping down would leave Republicans without their boogeyman, the chances of Republicans retaining their majority in the House would evaporate.

This article is as much wishful thinking as mine when I picture the Dallas Cheerleader team knocking at my front door.

i dont know what the outcome of the elections will be, but Nancy staying or going in her position won’t be the deciding factor.

Stabbing us in the back will be.

“One GOP operative mused that because Pelosi’s stepping down would leave Republicans without their boogeyman, the chances of Republicans retaining their majority in the House would evaporate.” RIDICULOUS!!! The least of the evil donkey’s problems are Pelosi. Raising taxes, Taking away Second Amendment, saying they will impeach Trump and their ongoing attacks on Christian conservatives will be must more damaging to the donkey’s chances than Pelosi.

BOO JIT !!

America has gotten the hang of things now.

It's the message

the man

and the accomplishments.

Politics no longer exists except as the game those in power play to occupy and amuse themselves.

We're back to work, making money growing like a muthah, and we vote more knowingly.

The ONLY danger a democrat can be to us is that he comes off like a Republican.

THAT is the lesson I hope everyone has learned from the district 18 race in SW Pennsylvania where a democrat won a very local seat in a district Donald Trump took by 20%.

THAT is what Republicans MUST pay attention to because I ga rohn tee ya', the democrats saw what happened.

Lamb(D) sounded more excited and conservative than Saccone (R) a dud of a speaker but a solid conservative.

Using Pelosi as the boogeyman is a messaging for failure.... it will work in deep red districts, but it wont work in light red and purple ones. PA-18 proved that!

The messaging of the entire race form the entire republican ecosphere was lamb will be a Pelosi lap dog... and too liberal.. and it FAILED. It is talking to the converted, doesn’t motivate anyone outside the reliable core to show up.

Dems will show up this fall en masse, and Pelosi is the boogeyman will NOT motivate the not traditional MAGA voter to show up! LInking to Pelosi is fine messaging for the base, but you need something far different to motivate and get those voters to the polls....

GOP still doesn’t GET or understand Trump showed them in winning. They keep playing like its 2008 or 2012 or 2014 or 2010 or even 2000 or 2004... they do not seem to realize that Trump showed them HOW TO WIN for decades.... they seem unwilling or unable to accept the new world that is here.

Republicans can make the upper midwest ad reliable red as the south, but they AREN’T going to do it with boogey man attack ads!!! Give the disenfranchised Dems and I’s a REASON to vote for you... simply attacking the other side ISN’T GOING TO DO IT!

Trump showed them the path, and they just refuse to accept it....

My fever swamp nightmare.
The Dems win both houses in the midterms, make Hillary Speaker. Then impeach and convict Trump then Pence.
Election 2016 reversed and Hillary rules.
Yikes!

Remember the fortunes spent on the presidential elections since 2000 but not including Trump? I don’t remember seeing much of a difference from early polls to the last poll.
