How about the time and distance from the place where they were persecuted? Shouldn’t time and distance have lessened their fear? Sounds like what it did was give them more time to premeditate murder. Way too many questions that an investigation may not bear out (for political reasons.)
- At what time of day/night did this accident occur?
- Were there any witnesses?
- Transaction history of credit/debit card for gas purchases or other transactions?
- Last contact with relatives and nature of these conversations?
- How was the house left?
- Any unpaid or neglected bills?

I doubt vey much if there was really such an incident in Alexandria, Minnesota. It is a very nice town with tourist attractions with numerous lakes in the area.
