George Washington University is hosting a diversity workshop to battle “Christian privilege” on Thursday of Easter Week at the school’s Multicultural Student Services Center.

The training session for students and faculty proposes to educate Christians — especially white ones — concerning their “unmerited perks from institutions and systems all across our country,” according to the ever-attentive folks at The College Fix.

The workshop, titled “Christian Privilege: But Our Founding Fathers Were All Christian, Right?!” will be hosted by Timothy Kane, the “proudly gay” interim associate director for inclusion initiatives at George Washington University.

According to his online biography page, Kane has a master’s degree in divinity and theology and works to expand the diversity and inclusion efforts at GWU, specifically regarding the LGBT community.

Let every person and ever entity know that you will withhold every penny you have before it goes to George Washington University. I don’t give them anything but there is someone I am sure I can hurt in a small way. This disturbs me profoundly, that the name of our greatest general and president is defiled like this. I have two forefathers from the Revolutionary War, they were called up. When our call comes I hope it is an overwhelming flood.

The guy’s correct. We do have unmerited perks:

Our sins are forgiven.

Christ’s righteousness is imputed to us.

We can look forward to eternal fellowship with our Creator.

I’m seeing this supposed ‘Christian privilege’ pop up more and more lately-

Folks began attacking white people by claiming we exhibit ‘white privilege’ and they try to make us feel guilty just for being white- now I’m seeing them use the very same tactics to attack Christians based on supposed ‘Christian privilege’

“unmerited perks from institutions and systems”

“Unmerited” according to whom? According to Anti-God/Anti-Christian gay people masquerading as religion experts?

Eternal life is a privilege Jesus offers all who come to him. Or you can eat, drink and enjoy the fruits of your labor, and die like an animal, and your soul dies the second death in the lake of fire.

We each get to choose - life or death.

How can people be dinged for choosing His free gift? Everyone has that choice.

In reality, the muzzies get far more leeway and privilege than any other group on the planet. It must be their peaceful nature.

Every single item called “privilege” simply means “majority”.

There is no Christian Privilege in Iran. There is no White Privilege in China.

This is NOT a thing.

Men, Whites, and Christians are portrayed as villains-by-default and systemically disenfranchised.

I believe that I read somewhere that the demographics of George Washington University is about 65% New York Jewish. Maybe it's more. It's doubtful that any openly Christian people on that campus have any "privilege" whatsoever, quite the contrary in fact.

Please explain why Asians in Asia aren’t apologizing for alleged Asian privilege in their countries and handing stuff on silver platters to other groups.

GWU is well known to be about 25% Jewish. That’s a huge number. Only a few schools in the country are more Jewish.

I’m glad you posted this. I am a GW alumni. The next time the alumni relations director calls or wants to have lunch with me to talk about getting me to start donating again, I know exactly what I’m going to talk about.

African-American Pride - but their ancestors are all African, right?

The universities want a war. Well, they deserve one.

Basically this comes down to ugly and crazy people who cannot get any attention from any attractive and nice white people.

It sucks to be them.

Over the past few decades Christians in America have been driven from the public square and nearly back into the catacombs. Where is the Christian privilege? No one asks your faith for a job or admission to college (except perhaps religious institutions) and the voluntary wearing of Christian indicia such as a cross is more likely to penalize you than reward you in today’s secular society.

The only "privilege" I can think of is that since our country has a majority Christian heritage, the work week is structured around the traditional Christian day of rest (Sunday), instead of being based on Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, or Hindu traditions. But if you go to countries where those religions are dominant, they schedule things differently.

Even in America, however, Sunday is now only marginally a religious day of rest, with the day filled with shopping, sports, and other activities. Indeed, millions of people now have to work on Sunday.

Christian institutions are exempt from some taxes, but so are religious institutions of all faiths, so that is not a specifically Christian privilege, and people of all faiths are free to worship according to their beliefs.

I suppose in the past, when this country was more Christian than it now is, the mere presence of so many Christian churches would give Christians a sense of being "at home" in this country in a way that non-Christians wouldn't. I suppose you could call that a "privilege" of sorts.

But now, that sense is largely eroded, as Christians do not see their values reflected in the mainstream media or popular entertainment, or even in the law. Indeed, they often feel under attack and under pressure to withdraw from the public square.

Perhaps Christians in America have reached a point where they must as a group choose to be far more aggressive than Christians have become, or they must turn more inward *like Amish or Orthodox Jews) and become mostly concerned with passing on the values unchanged that they received from previous generations. Separation from a great pagan culture.
