What is Zuckerberg hiding? (secretly deletes private messages; fears sensitive data leaks)
dailymail.com ^ | April 6, 2018 | Phoebe Weston For Mailonline

<><>Three sources said old Facebook messages from Zuckerberg have disappeared

<><>Recipients were not notified - raising concerns about what the CEO is hiding

<><>Removal of messages was not disclosed publicly and users were not informed

<><>Company's ability to tamper with Messenger could be alarming for some users

Facebook claims the change was made after the 2014 Sony Pictures hack, when a mass data breach at the movie studio resulted in embarrassing email histories being leaked. However, the lack of disclosure has angered some users, along with the absence of a similar tool to recall messages for normal users.

Although Zuckerberg may be CEO of the company, the ability to remove messages from Messenger is not allowed under the company's terms of service. Users can only delete messages from their own inbox and they would still appear in the inbox of the recipient.

The fact the the company is prepared to make exceptions makes a mockery of its statement that it wants to 'make the world more open and transparent', say experts. Facebook claimed these messages were deleted due to concerns about corporate security. 'After Sony Pictures' emails were hacked in 2014 we made a number of changes to protect our executives' communications', a spokesperson told MailOnline.'These included limiting the retention period for Mark's messages in Messenger. We did so in full compliance with our legal obligations to preserve messages.'

Earlier this week the company was further embroiled in the scandal over user's private data. It was revealed Facebook scans the contents of messages that people send each other on its Messenger app, blocking any content that contravenes its rules. What users write in messages may also be read manually if it's flagged to moderators for breaching Facebook's community guidelines.

Does this connect to Facebook’s plan-— sending a doctor on a secret mission to ask hospitals to share patient data? Does Facebook have other secret plans to use data?

Exclusive: Move over NSA, here comes the Obamacare Big Brother database
by James S. Robbins | FR Posted by: jamesrobbins1

Would you trust thousands of low-level Federal bureaucrats and contractors with one-touch access to your private financial and medical information? Under Obamacare you won’t have any choice.

As the Obamacare train-wreck begins to gather steam, there is increasing concern in Congress over something called the Federal Data Services Hub. The Data Hub is a comprehensive database of personal information being established by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to implement the federally facilitated health insurance exchanges.

The purpose of the Data Hub, according to a June 2013 Government Accountability Office (GAO) report, is to provide “electronic, near real-time access to federal data” and “access to state and third party data sources needed to verify consumer-eligibility information.” In these days of secret domestic surveillance by the intelligence community, rogue IRS officials and state tax agencies using private information for political purposes, and police electronically logging every license plate that passes by, the idea of the centralized Data Hub is making lawmakers and citizens nervous.

They certainly should be; the potential for abuse is enormous. The massive, centralized database will include comprehensive personal information such as income and financial data, family size, citizenship and immigration status, incarceration status, social security numbers, and private health information.

It will compile dossiers based on information obtained from the IRS, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Defense, the Veterans Administration, the Office of Personnel Management, the Social Security Administration, state Medicaid databases, and for some reason the Peace Corps. The Data Hub will provide web-based, one-stop shopping for prying into people’s personal affairs.

Not to fear, HHS says, the Data Hub will be completely secure. Really? Secure like all the information that has been made public in the Wikileaks era? These days no government agency can realistically claim that private information will be kept private, especially when it is being made so accessible. Putting everyone’s personal information in once place only simplifies the challenge for those looking to hack into the system.

However, the hacker threat is the least of the Data Hub worries. The hub will be used on a daily basis by so-called Navigators, which according to the GAO are “community and consumer-focused nonprofit groups, to which exchanges award grants to provide fair and impartial public education” and “refer consumers as appropriate for further assistance.” Thousands of such people will have unfettered access to the Data Hub, but there are only sketchy guidelines on how they will be hired, trained and monitored. Given the slap-dash, incoherent way Obamacare is being implemented the prospect for quality control is low. And the Obama administration’s track record of sweetheart deals, no-bid, sole-source contracting and other means of rewarding people with insider access means the Data Hub will be firmly in the hands of trusted White House loyalists.

So if you think the IRS targeting Tea Party groups was bad, just wait for the Obamacare Navigators to be unleashed. “Trust us,” the administration says, no one will abuse the Data Hub. Sure, because that has worked out so well in the past.

We learned belatedly that Facebook sent a doctor on a secret mission to ask hospitals to share patients’ confidential health data.

The story for public consumption is Facebook asked several major U.S. hospitals to share anonymized data about their patients (illnesses and prescription info), for a “proposed research project.” Facebook “said” it intended to match it up with user data it had collected, so it could “help” the hospitals figure out which patients might need special care or treatment.

This is so much BS......language designed to paper over another one of many of Facebook’s nefarious activities.

As we have learned to our dismay, the public Facebook-—all sweetness and light—— “says” one thing for public consumption, but behind the scenes is a different story.

REALITY CHECK-—Facebook was possibly colluding with Obama to mine data for the O/Care atrocity, perhaps to provide intel to O/Care’s Death Panels.

I have never understood why a very smart computer nerd who happened to invent a device and company that made him a billionaire should have the good sense to then play a role in how that company is run once it goes public.

In addition to...... The guy is a punk, very creepy, a Psychologist Couches dream. His billions will keep him out of any significant trouble. No doubt he has bought off “friends” in high DC places on both sides of the isle.

As we have seen in others that went to the top-——it does something to their heads.

They now consider themselves “masters of the universe”......above all the rest of us peons.

Zuckerberg is focusing on current disclosure and hoping he doesn’t get asked about (1) disclosures and cooperation direct/indirectly with Clinton, (2) disclosures and cooperation direct/indirectly with Clinton, (3) disclosures and cooperation direct/indirectly with anti-Trump and anti-Republican and anti-conservative, and (4) disclosures and cooperation direct/indirectly with China and other American enemies. Bet he and Sandberg have a lot to hide.

“As we have seen in others that went to the top-——it does something to their heads”

In Zuckerberg’s case he had something wrong in his head before anyone knew of him. That was the reason for Facebook, he was an antisocial weirdo trying to avoid human contact as much as possible.

The guy is building huge walls around his properties. He bought out his neighbors properties (at any cost) around his house in LA for more seclusion for him and his version of Yoko Ono to hide in.

Excellent insight.....deserves a repeat.

(hat tip Reno89519)

Bet he and Sandberg have a lot to hide. Zuckerberg is focusing on current disclosures,
deflecting attention to himself, mighty desperate, hoping he doesn’t get asked about:

(1) disclosures and cooperation direct/indirectly with Clinton,

(2) disclosures and cooperation direct/indirectly with Clinton,

(3) disclosures and cooperation direct/indirectly with anti-Trump and anti-Republican and anti-conservative, and,

(4) disclosures and cooperation direct/indirectly with China and other American enemies.
