There was a great article right after the election about Kellyanne Conway's deep Catholic faith, and how she reportedly took Donald Trump to meet Father George Rutler, an Anglican convert priest and pastor of St. Michael's church in New York City (the article has a typo) in Manhattan, who blessed the future president just days before his election.

I've met Fr. Rutler...he is a devout, pious man. Witness his article about Trump's Warsaw speech. Solid. Fr. Rutler would NOT just "hand out" blessings to any old pol.

Further to your point, I wouldn't be surprised if there are a number of unreported attempts to derail Pres. Trump (both mortal and strategic) that are, well, handled Divinely, shall we say. I truly, truly, believe we're seeing something different this time around.

I think these prayer meetings in the WH are THE most important thing going on right now, and Mulehead doesn’t have a chance as long as these continue.

The AL football team, for example, was awesome.
