A lot of 3 y/o children decide to be a boy, or a girl, or a truck, or a doggy, or a kitty based on something trivial. Left on their own, they decide to be something else the next day. If cursed with a social justice warrior for a parent (or with a pair of same-sex gender activists), the parent will latch on to a shallow comment and turn that into the child's identity, just for bragging rights with their LGBTQIDIOT community. Child abuse is incredibly sad.
