Please: Not Another Speaker Pelosi (Are you prepared for a re-run?)
American Thinker ^ | 04/13/2018 | Bruce Walker

Posted on 04/13/2018 7:25:03 AM PDT by SeekAndFind

Nancy Pelosi is an embarrassment to Congress, and most members of Congress are an embarrassment to America.

When Pelosi was speaker of the House, she famously stated that Congress needed to pass Obamacare to see what was in the bill.  She also pondered openly whether the Democrat leadership of the House of Representatives ought to "deem" the Senate version of the bill to have passed the House to avoid having members of the House voting on the bill.

Pelosi six years ago opined that unemployment liberated Americans to become photographers or writers or musicians – unemployment was an opportunity for those lucky enough to lose their jobs.  Yet almost exactly six years later, with Republicans controlling the White House and Congress, Pelosi totally reversed her attitude toward unemployment.  She commented recently on the latest unemployment figures as evidence that "the wealthiest one percent continue to hoard the benefits of the U.S economy."

This comes out of the mouth of the seventh richest person in Congress, whose estimated wealth is $191 million.  Pelosi's wealth 25 times greater than the top one percent in America at her age, which is $7.6 million.  Pelosi's wealth is much greater than the top one thousandth (0.1%) of the nation, which is $43 million.  Pelosi's wealth is even greater than the top ten thousandth (0.01%) of Americans, which $100 million.

Boy if the GOPs stupid refusal to do anything with their majority results in the dems taking it back, I really hope they are dumb enough to put Pelosi back in chage. Do it!

Charlie Rangel as Ways and Means Committee Chairman was a nightmare. His proposal of a ‘surcharge tax’ on high income was the beginning of the Financial Crisis. The Congress did nothing to stop the fiasco because they could blame it ALL on President Bush (an easy target).

A few indictments here, a military tribunal there, with a small cell in Gitmo to top it all off should make for an interesting midterm.

If anything puts the dems back in charge it will be voter fraud. I honestly believe all the talk of a blue wave is to make everyone expect and blue wave, thus not questioning the results.

The best thing the Republicans can do is have Ryan step down as Speaker and a replacement be installed. That way there is a clear contrast between House Speakers and people know who they are voting for when they elect their representatives.

Of course the Republicans in Congress almost never follow the best course of action.

RE: Charlie Rangel as Ways and Means Committee Chairman was a nightmare.

Wait till you see Maxine Waters in that position as the Dems are planning....

Speaking of things coming out of her mouth, with all her millions, can she not afford Polident?

$191 million is a lot of money for someone who has never held an honest job in her entire life.

With Ryan, I couldn’t tell the difference.

Nonsense. If anything puts the Dems back in charge it will be Donald Trump and how the Republican Congress has blocked him at every turn.

RE: With Ryan, I couldn’t tell the difference.

Let’s be fair. If Pelosi were speaker, we would not have shrunk the corporate/business tax from 35% to a competitive 21% that unleashed all the hiring and low unemployment we now see.

So, right there we see the difference.

Waters isn't on Ways and Means, she's on the Financial Services Committee. Richard Neal is the ranking Democrat on Ways and Means.

I don’t know, but it feels like the GOP has done a lot in an effort to lose the House.

The one thing that stands out as a success, the tax cut. It is amazing to watch the public be convinced that Trump is destroying the economy, and only helping the rich. The media tells them, ignore what you see, the real damage from Trump will come later... and the tide pod eaters consume this message without question.

Now, as for Pelosi as Speaker. That drooling, confused, corrupt old crone could sit before them, mess her depends and rail about President Bush, and the media will spin it for her. She’ll be fine in her efforts to bring chaos to America. She’s “one of them”.

Was Pelosi the Democrat who warned that 70 BILLION people would die, if the Trump tax cuts were passed?

Who’s going to stand in her way?? Yes, she’s a demented old bat, but she’s still a very powerful one. She’ll be very tough to keep out of the Speaker’s chair.

I hope it doesn’t happen, but given that she’s now clearly demented, it could be entertaining.
Instead of merely term limits, we probably need a score of term years combined with age...some of these codgers need put out to pasture, about a decade or two ago.

Well there it is - people sit hone in 2018 thinking that they will show those do nothing globalist establishment so called conservative Republican swamp creatures in both the Senate and the House who who.

Little realizing or just to dumb to understand that the Democrat House will vote to impeach DJT (their hero and savior of the Republic), while all the printed papers, most of the cable news shows will talk impeachment nonstop until there is an actual vote, and then on to the Democrat Senate where Conviction and Removal will be sure thing. Even if that does not happen DJT will be terribly weakened and unable to either run or win if he does.

All because too many Conservative/Republicans imagined that some good would come of their putting their collective heads in the sand like they did in elections past, which resulted in a second Obama term and all the dire consequences that resulted. Many here propose to repeat the same mistake again.

But like Liberals, they will feel emotionally better for having held their principles high ... even though it means the loss of a 2nd DJT term and the loss of the 1st and 2nd Amendments as well.

Along the way Pense will follow DJT out of the door, and then amid a Constitutional Crisis as big as the US Civil War, the Democrat Speaker of the House will be sworn into the Presidency ...

Conservative/Republican response? “We’ll show them next time ...” Little understanding that there will be no ‘next time’ ... just Auschwitz

When she was speaker before, I used to watch CSPAN a lot.

I don’t remember seeing her even once other than during SOTU. I don’t believe I saw her even once doi g the day to day stuff.

What was she doing? Getting marching orders and bribes?

Going to and fro in her jet getting botox injections and sucking down booze?

I will never forgive her for sticking us with Obama.

And as speaker she demanded her G3 (I think that’s the right model) be replaced by a G5 so she could fly to California almost every week end without having to refuel. She also had a $100,000 liquor bill every year if I remember correctly.
