Amazon pulls child sex dolls after criticism from UK watchdog

England Children's Commissioner, Anne Longfield, said Amazon should explain how the dolls were permitted to be posted on their website, and ensure they cannot be put back up for sale.

"Such dolls are clearly built for one purpose, and that purpose is a clear danger to the safety of real children," she said in a statement after a BBC investigation into the issue.

Britain allows people to manufacture and own child sex dolls yet it is illegal to import them. A British man was convicted last year for doing so in what police said was a landmark case in the fight against a new form of sex crime against children.

Opinion is divided over the use of child sex dolls, which have the appearance, weight and anatomy of real children.

WTH. Though I can pretty much guess the pros fall into two camps. The same experts who are pushing for pedophilia to be just another orientation. I understand all the criticism of this, but if it prevents one of these perverts from assuallting a real child, then let them have their dolls. Yes, I understand that the ash heap inside an incinerator is the best place for people like this, but if saves one kid from an agonized life due to their abuse, maybe it’s worth it. Having said that, anyone that buys one should have to register it just like a gun so they can be tracked if there is any assault on a human in their vicinity. Just my thoughts.

I think the "if it saves even one child" argument is dubious, because it is just as likely -- more likely, I think --- to cause more children to be horribly victimized by wiping away the taboo against pedophilia, both in the minds of the pedos themselves and in the perception of society.

The whole concept of preferring and seeking sexual gratification with a child is corrupt. Such preferences and conduct should be considered verboten on any level: written fantasies, video porn, CGI-porn, "adult" anime, dolls.

These things manifest a corrupt mind, and people with such a mind should not be permitted to live without close restraint.

Frankly, I think this behavior is genetic and not learned. Though the ubiquitousness of pornography of this type on the internet can bring out the worst in some people. Those who are smart enough to recognize their tendencies would serve society well by not procreating.
