I think the general concept is good. We have no business being in Syria anyway ... until we need to kick some more ISIS ass.

This is post Syria war......and who gets the land that floods the oil and gas into Europe.....(NATO COUNTRIES)

I don’t especially want to see an “Islamic” Corridor for trade and oil.

Yes...all three listed are oil producing countries. Trump will always go after where the oil travels...and where those revenue sources end up. Better in the hands of allies than foes!

It’s the Middle East. Whatever we do we will fail. Everyone who is stupid enough to interfere there gets brutalized. It will be no different for us.

This is FAKE NEWS!!!! President Trump is not a stupid man, and there’s no way he would agree to this. That would be like asking the Bloods to watch over Crips territory. This must be fake news ...if the story were true, that would mean the Trump administration is seeking to remove Assad from power since leaving a Sunni Arab army would lead to that. Fake news

I’m with you, brother. Either nuke the lot of them or leave.

There are no other viable choices.

*** The initiative comes as the administration has asked Saudi Arabia, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates to contribute billions of dollars to help restore northern Syria. It wants Arab nations to send troops as well, officials said. ***

Help restore? Give me a break. Syria, as in the legitimate government of Syria already has a rebuilding plan, and I am sure the last thing they want is the American Invaders sending the terrorist funding Salafist Saudis any where near them.

I am so disgusted with my government.

That part of what was NE Syria is now Rojava. The Kurds are not going to welcome any other forces in their new homeland.

Assads army is already 70% sunni
Having seen how the extremist militias brutalize the towns they capture, it seems a lot of Syrians are thinking Assad is “syria” and a much better option
