OK, for now, to tell your kids they are being indoctrinated

Left-wing indoctrination is nothing new to "blue" California but sex education has evolved from safety and science to full-blown propaganda.

Every middle schooler and high schooler in California must sit through sex-ed classes that include information about birth control and sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV/AIDS.

Students are also taught to affirmatively recognize – in other words, praise - different sexual orientations and gender identities. Parents are free to pull their kids out of the sex-ed classes but according to at least one school attorney from Orange County, they may not excuse their children from the pro-homosexual propaganda.

Homeschool, online school, or GED. Keep your kids safe from sexual predators.

I have to move from my favorite state because they are requiring and testing on this new pro-homo “curriculum”

Pennsylvania has made it “easy to homeschool” by including your kid in the district (So they can get the money) and sending every lesson plan you’ll need to make sure they get the same education as a public school student.

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the other articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

Romans 1:18-32 people don’t like even the thought of non-Romans 1:18-32 people being out there, and they especially don’t like the thought that kids might escape the depravity and perversions they support.

Everyone must conform to the World of Poofters-vision.

“For now” is absolutely correct.

Leftism is a never-ending “evolution” to nihilism.

"...and sending every lesson plan you’ll need to make sure they get the same education as a public school student."

The reason for Home Schooling is so your child will not get the same education, or lack thereof.

“The reason for Home Schooling”

Precisely.

I dropped a big pay check and lots of business opportunity to move my family out of the NEUS and into a very, very conservative area of PA.

Now I’m moving further away and into an income abyss to provide more. I’ll be pumping gas and living in a trailer before too long.

It is well worth the investment. Godspeed.

My husband and I have both passed up opportunities for a lot more money so that we can live in an area where many people still share our values, and so that we can homeschool in a state with a high level of homeschool freedom. It’s worth it.

I was homeschooled in PA, not very long ago. The district made it as difficult as they possibly could, and that was in addition to the onerous state regulations. They were all about the money they were not getting per pupil. Public school test scores, well, they were what you'd expect: somewhere in the 60-70th percentile.

The public schools throughout this country have been using Liberal propaganda since 1980 or earlier. A lot of the Liberal brainwashing and propaganda was brought into the public schools and some private schools under the guise of the Drug and Alcohol Program in the 1980’s. They used behavior modification, situation ethics, and other Liberal psychological tools. The NEA had a big part in this. I spent over eight years trying to educate parents as to what was going on in the schools. I advised them to read their children’s paperwork, curriculum, and textbooks, to talk to their children at the dinner table, and to ask them what they did in school that day and what did their teacher specifically say to the class. I can’t begin to tell you how many “shocked” parents called me after they discovered that their children were being educated with anti-American propaganda. Schools are and were spending a big percentage of the day on social issues and not on math, science, history, or English. That is why we now have at least three decades of uneducated Americans and teachers who are the byproduct of Liberal propaganda.

I highly recommend reading “The Children’s Story” by James Clavell

James Clavell was an Australian-born British (and later naturalized American) novelist, screenwriter, director, and World War II veteran and prisoner of war. Clavell is best known as a writer for his The Asian Saga series of novels and their televised adaptations. Clavell also authored screenplays, such as The Great Escape (1963) and To Sir, with Love (1967).

It was my honor to be able to talk with Mr. Clavell in the early 1980’s.

https://www.amazon.com/Childrens-Story-James-Clavell/dp/0440204682

From the flap of the book:

“It was a simple incident in the life of James Clavell—a talk with his young daughter just home from school—that inspired this chilling tale of what could happen in twenty-five quietly devastating minutes. He writes, “The Children’s Story came into being that day. It was then that I really realized how vulnerable my child’s mind was —any mind, for that matter—under controlled circumstances. Normally I write and rewrite and re-rewrite, but this story came quickly—almost by itself. Barely three words were changed. It pleases me greatly because I kept asking the questions…

Questions like, What’s the use of ‘I pledge allegiance’ without understanding? Like Why is it so easy to divert thoughts? Like What is freedom? and Why is so hard to explain?...”

To: Sopater; All
Thank you for referencing that article Sopater. Please note that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

"Parents are free to pull their kids out of the sex-ed classes but according to at least one school attorney from Orange County, they may not excuse their children from the pro-homosexual propaganda [??? emphasis added]."

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument

I don’t know where the referenced Orange County attorney went to law school, or if the attorney is possibly stealth LGBT, but there are two constitutionally enumerated safeguards concerning things like the unwanted pro-homosexual propaganda in public schools that the attorney is seemingly "overlooking" in this case imo.

First, if a school administrators and state actors of the school’s pro-homosexual propaganda policy do not respect the majority will of the parents sending their children to the school, then majority voters are being denied the republican form of government guaranteed by the Constitution imo.

"Article IV, Section 4: The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government [emphasis added], and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence."

But even if parents not wanting pro-homosexual indoctrination for their kids are minority, then they are still protected from pro-LGBT activist state actors by the 14th Amendment, 1st Amendment-protected religious expression and free speech in this example.

Corrections, insights welcome.

H O W E V E R …

Since both of the constitutional protections referenced above require congressional action, patriots are still in trouble concerning public school pro-homosexual indoctrination. This is because we are still stuck with the corrupt, post-17th Amendment ratification Congress left over from the lawless Obama Administration.

In other words, we can predictably expect Congress not to lift a finger to make punitive laws to discourage state actors form abridging constitutionally enumerated protections.

In fact, it is up to every voting patriot in the country to help strengthen the constitutionally enumerated rights of not only California parents, but parents in the other states as well, by finishing the job that patriots started when they elected Trump president.

More specifically, patriots now need to be making sure that there are plenty of Trump-supporting patriot candidates on the 2018 primary ballots, candidates who will be willing to make punitive laws to discourage abridgment of constitutionaly enumerated rights by state actors.

Patriots must then pink-slip career lawmakers by sending patriot candidate lawmakers to DC on election day so that they can start making such laws.

And until the states wake up and repeal 17A, as evidenced by concerns about the integrity of the outcome of Alabama's and Pennsylvania's special elections, patriot candidates need to win elections by a large enough margin to compensate for possible deep state ballot box fraud, associated MSM scare tactics, and interference from people like Soros.

Correct!

I am waiting for my students desperately trying to prepare for the ACT (math/science portions) having not received the requisite preparation from the school system.

Bright kids all, but untaught.

PS. this is a rewarding and profitable enterprise for retired adults. Hint, Hint.
