It’s true & I’m a special needs teacher. Where I teach it sure seems like a big part of it is the home environment. Lack of fathers, drugs, completely unstable home life, no books at home, no appropriate conversation to build vocabulary.......you have a messed up child. Add to that the check you can apply for when your child has an IEP. I have one family who is getting a check for at least 4 kids. They don’t work & but a new house a few years ago. I do have to add that their children are genuinely simple/ mentally retarded & the student I have is nonverbal & has genuine autism.
One 1st grade teacher at my school has 13 children under Child Protective Services. 13!!!!!!!! You have kids coming into school knowing nothing & having no socialization/home training skills.
It’s a mess & society is paying dearly in dollars & having a population that does not participate in society, but takes.
Vaccines are never considered to be the single cause
My son is on the spectrum because of prenatal brain damage inflicted by his birth mothers substance abuse
But anyone whose normal child suffered a severe vaccine reaction and never fully recovered - some left to suffer with autism-like behaviors ever after- will never be convinced there was no connection and it was all to coincidence
There are simply too many of us
Yes I say us because my previous son who already struggled most if his life suffered another setback after a vaccine reaction in his adolescence and lost a shining part of his personality within days
Mothers know these things
Luckily after 5 years he is making another recovery though we had adjusted to losing him and gaining a different kid
Just because there are hundreds of articles in print, doesn't prove that they are not crap. Heck, half of the published articles in "respectable" scientific journals are crap. Another kind of crap is that housewives and shoe salesmen and taxicab drivers think they are qualified to come to iron clad opinions about epidemiological research based on the writings of snake oil peddlers and modern day hedge-wizards practicing "natural" medicine without a real license.

Any medicine will have some small number of people it will kill, lame or do nothing for not even cure. Even simple aspirin has people who have problems with it. My late father was one. There is no “no risk” medicine or “no risk” anything. I know that doesn’t make anyone who is or has loved a loved one in the “problem category” feel any better. The question is the benefit and the numbers that benefit worth the cost to the others. The whole medical statistics methodology world that gives the information to do the risk management is horribly broken, maybe it never was what it claimed to be capable of (I am more or less in that camp now!) Nick Taleb’s books on the challenge quantifying risk and risk management are very much worth reading.

Shortly after round 12 of shots, each for 2-5 different things, it was like a switch got flipped in our 3 year old son. He quit speaking altogether and his personality changed.

The above is about my greatest concern in life. Once my wife and I are gone, the only person he’ll have is his sister.

Polio was already almost gone before vaccines came in and the cases spiked.
There a lot of people that can’t comprehend that maybe some vaccines aren’t great, and maybe some do a lot of harm.

You’re right, but people will be hostile to you because they can’t fathom the alternative. The alternative is this has nothing to do with our health but is instead part of a process to ruin people, done by the same global elites hell bent on controlling us.

The opinions are callous and ignorant. Many are as guilty of knee-jerk reactions as those on the left. Just different issues.
We've not tried to influence our daughters, but each has decided not to pursue the ridiculous number of shots per visit. Now, they have begun to not do the +70 shots. I know of many families like this.
It is no wonder, when crony capitalism substitutes for objective medical care. Once Big Pharma was not liable for the harm their "vaccines" cause, they had lots of incentive to continually increase the number and lobby to have them required.
In contrast, in Italy, where life expectancy is higher, they are increasing the number of required shots to 10, instead of our 74 and growing.
This is about as lenient as I am going to go, but for some people drugs like penicillin or aspirin are harmful. For a subset.
Yeah, the people who deny autism is real are the worst. I wouldn’t deny it considering my neighbors have a boy in his 20s who goes on temper tantrums without a perfect schedule or people telling him “no”. It’s a very real condition affecting a lot of people and there should be concern about either lessening the severity or preventing it if possible.
