“Neither does a Trump pin or bumper sticker make you an imbecile.”

No, but it’s a well-established target for our violent domestic enemies.

Many of them would wind up at then of a rope or enjoy a short stay at the Ceausescu Courtyard Inn.

Your point is spot-on.

It's not just that the Left cannot see in themselves what they condemn in people who don't completely agree with them. It's that they consider their opinions and positions to be "enlightened" and that they must "bring us around" to those positions. Oh, and that those on the Left are weakened by their desire to not say or do anything offensive. All of this was discussed in the short video.

With this type of thinking and behavior we see on the Left, coupled with a complete absence of even a trace of introspection, negotiation and civil discourse is truly impossible.

I am usually a big fan of his, but I thought he sounded pathetic and ill-informed and weaselly there.

Kind of like Ms. Twain, the Canadian idea is that you first have to insult and dismiss Trump as if he is an idiot and a clown before you have any US political cred.

Being gentle with the poor Trump fans who don’t know any better than to support an idiot and a clown is not IMO showing any respect for said fans at all—while he was claiming that they deserve some special sort of sympathy.

Trump as allowed leftists to expose themselves as insane, totalitarian communists...it’s been fun to watch their psychotic meltdown.

Trump is a proxy for the disdain those people have for a sizeable part of the people of the United States

The assumption is that the elite are so noble, that the peasants will just follow along or die.

Here is the thing. Great Grandpa left the Kasier Reich at a young age because he didn’t like a pompous a$$hole telling him what is best. My other Great Great Grandpa took issue with treating people as property.

The non Elite parts of the country are filled with a lot of people who have authority issues, for good and bad. The expectation that some “expert” can tell us what we should doesn’t work. That is why we have all you can eat buffets.

Not saying we will win. Not saying we won’t. But I am saying that if the balloon goes up a lot of elite assumptions will die rather quickly.

*they’re not taking this well… You might not think they’re very bright and all of that*

How has Peterson figured out that we are not taking it well and the rest of the media, et al ... have not. Looks to me THEY are the ones who are not very bright and all that!

I know brilliant people who voted for Trump. I know some who voted for Trump because: 1. the other choice was unthinkable. 2. They didn’t care what or who he was before 2016 and took a chance that he would keep his promises, since they knew the other party would not.
They still don’t care what he was or who he was before 2016 and they are pleased he is keeping his promises.. will vote for him again.
And most Christians don’t care what or who he was before 2016 and will vote for him again. (the left can’t figure that one out)

For the person who doesn’t like the way he talks... but he removed those obama restrictions that hindered growth and more jobs are available..
For the person who doesn’t like his hair.. . but he gave you a tax break and your pay check is for more each pay day.
For the person who doesn’t like him and can’t give a reason.. .. North Korea is at the table willing to talk for the first time in history and willing to give up their nuke ability, due to Trump’s no nonsense take.
Is it country or is it your personal feelings about a personality!!

And one more thing... that judge who was just on FOX.. (you spell his name)... what gives with him? I wish he would just stay home and not participate ... every time he talks, he gives no hope.

From the post ***7 Forces Driving America Toward Civil War*** found here:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3649257/posts

“When it is discussed on the Left, there seems to be an assumption that lone resisters might get into firefights with dozens of police or soldiers, as opposed to ganging up with other formerly law-abiding Americans to waylay gun confiscators, politicians and anti-gun activists at THEIR HOMES in guerrilla actions that would be silently applauded and supported by hundreds of millions of Americans concerned about their freedom.”

They’ll get “visits”.

Yes, absolutely. Obama is an angry man beneath that purposefully controlled persona, and I believe he harbors significant hatreds. He has been one of the most divisive figures in all of American history. After 9/11 we were united for a short-while. Compare that to where we are today and it is extraordinary how much ground we've lost and how much overt division and hatred there is.

Another difference between the two ideologies is that Conservatives understand there will be consequences for actions.

obama gave privilege to hate, riot, and the most divisive person we have ever had... he spread his anger and hatred all over this nation. He brought hell out in the open on the United States.. and we may not recover for a very long time. The schools and colleges have taught a generation to hate and be ignorant of truth. A generation is considered to be 25 years...

The persona he presented hid who he was to those who chose to be ignorant of who they elected... twice! If you ever noticed his jaw was always clenched... and so was his imaginary fists and mind... he was the worst thing to come on the scene.. and he is still out there wreaking havoc on our nation.

I was VERY disappointed in Peterson’s response or lack thereof to many of the comments from the panel. For example there was no real response to the female’s comment that Peterson thinks “the left tries too hard not to offend”. Is she psychotic? The left tries to be as offensive as possible at all times! They are incapable of civil discussion. They are addicted to hyperbolic, exaggerated and inflammatory comments. Peterson did not correct her and seemed to agree that Trump supporters were not too bright or educated. He also did not correct any of Maher’s slanderous comments about Trump. It was not the Jordan Peterson I have come to expect.

Peterson is usually more thoughtful. He joined a zoo in that interview.

Recall that the Finnish Civil War killed 1% of the population of the country in three months.

I’ve noticed that Peterson’s colleague, Camille Paglia, hasn’t been on Maher for years. Perhaps, he too, will wake up and realize it is a waste of time.
