Five is a pretty large group to get behind. I'm familiar with the problem as my group tended to be slower; we started on kids' day which more seasoned golfers knew and we let a lot of faster people play through. That was days of walking the course for almost everyone.

I was never "kicked" off the course but perhaps should have been for losing my temper a few times and damaging the fairway (not a green).

Whatever happened, it sounds like the manager made a terrible blunder especially wth black people. He could have pursued other options like maybe asking them nicely to play in groups of 4 and odd person assigned to another groupl

Sometimes we had to get assigned to "short" groups when we paid our greens fees.

I hope the injured party can be somewhat understanding and not exploit their victimhood to the hilt.

Like Prince's heirs are currently doing. Six of them. A week before his final overdose, his plane made an emergency landing at Moline Airport, took him to Trinity. He was given 2 doses of something for an overdose. Sounds like they saved his life.

They wanted to admit him and word is that he insisted on an entire floor. The hospital offered him a private room and recommended he remain for treatment. He declined and flew back to MN.

I don't know what the involvement of Walgreens the hospital pharmacy was.

How such suits seem to work, find the deepest pockets and sue. Then the hospital and other party have to figure what it would cost their attorneys to defend the suit.

So they offer a settlement and maybe sweeten it up a bit rather than gamble that a jury would side in their favor and they have to pay the amount sued for plus court costs and legal fees of the suing parties' attorneys.

Nasty business. Someone will likely advise, if not already, the aggrieved girls to sue the deepest pockets.

Which has me wondering if you own anything of value, you arrange your affairs to protect yourself from deep-pockets vampires and frivolous lawsuits. LLC is one way. It's all gotten so ugly.

A business has the right to refuse to serve any one.

They can eject from their premises.

Of course, you can never do business with them again if they treat you rudely.

That’s different being ejected because of national origin, race or sex which is illegal.

I suspect it was the former and you can tell people not to patronize them if they humiliated you.

Enough bad word of mouth and they will go out of business.
