Montgomery County prosecutors lashed into Bill Cosby in their final pitch to jurors Tuesday, painting him as a serial sexual predator who hid for decades behind his reputation as “America’s Dad” to lure unsuspecting young women into situations where they were powerless to resist his advances. “He is nothing like the image he plays on TV,” Assistant District Attorney Kristen Feden said in an impassioned address to the panel of seven men and five women hearing the case. “He utilized that image and cloaked it around himself, so he could gain the trust of young, unsuspecting women to sexually assault them and strip their ability to say no.”

I bet he wishes he was a demonratic politician as Bill Clintdog was worse and hasn’t faced prosecution

Some FReeper used to defend the use of Quaaludes to lower inhibitions. When they say they will “take one” how do they know which strength you are really giving them (150mg or 300mg?). Add a few drinks after the pill has been willingly accepted and the effects are even stronger.
I don’t think it rose to the same level. I could remember wrong but I don’t think it rose to the level of using date rape drugs and he didn’t have multiple accusers. I’ll assume it was a misunderstanding in such cases.

Cosby isn’t a conservative. He regularly supported libetalcauses and democrats, including Barack Obama. Throughout the 70s and 80s, he regularly hung out at the Playboy mansion.
He occasionally made public statements in favor of personal responsibility. While I’m certain that some on the left resented him for that, the allegations are simply too numerous and too similar for me to discount.
He hasn’t denied that he was with these women at the times and places they claim. He hasn’t denied that they had sex. He hasn’t denied that he purchased and gave women relaxant-type drugs. His defense is that the sex was consensual and that he gave women drugs to help them relax.
It makes me sad because I enjoyed the Cosby Show during the 80s, but based on what I’ve read, I think he’s probably guilty of much of what he’s accused of.
