It turns out Oregonians are good at growing cannabis—too good. In February, state officials announced that 1.1 million pounds of cannabis flower were logged in the state's database.
If a million pounds sounds like a lot of pot, that's because it is: Last year, Oregonians smoked, vaped or otherwise consumed just under 340,000 pounds of legal bud.
This month, WW spoke to two dozen people across Oregon's cannabis industry. They describe a bleak scene: Small businesses laying off employees and shrinking operations. Farms shuttering. People losing their life's savings are unable to declare bankruptcy because marijuana is still a federally scheduled narcotic.

This vaping is bad business, these kids are doing wax and dab and it is like pot crack for some people, which in its raw form never did.

The wax and whatnot are just concentrates, which means you need to use less of the item to achieve a desired effect.
That said, anyone under 30 shouldn’t be consuming THC a whole lot. Bad for underdeveloped brains...flips on the dummy switch. Think that was the medical term for it.

I am not exactly sure what they mean by “cannabis flower”.
Do they mean buds? If so that would mean there must be at least 10 million pounds of cannabis leaf.
I am fairly sure they don’t mean ground cannabis seed. I have never heard of a use for that.
Sounds as though the Dept. of Agriculture should impose allotments to weed out the growers that are flooding the joint with excess crops.
Might have to take the Amtrak to Oregon. I’ll be flying back . . . :^)
