Zactly right.
I would wish that pain on my enemy if they weren’t an American but, no matter what I think of Sotomayor I couln’t wish shoulder surgery or it’s attendant issues on her...
Still, if she retires she can fully focus on her recovery.....

Shoulder surgery is a long hard recovery...

Many many years ago my BIL dislocated his shoulder in a dune buggy accident, he was young and healthy and was very afraid of doctors.
He was in terrible pain for three or so days before he finally went and it took months and months before he regained full use of it and that was just a dislocation.
