I'm definitely not a Voltaire fan. He's overrated and pretty liberal if I remember correctly.

He’s overrated for today. Probably okay in the late 1700 early 1800 for him.
Alfredo Pareto is my favorite. Yes he’s a bit of a fascist but he’s primarily a mathematician turned Engineer turned politician turned philosopher.
Pareto’s contributed what we know call the 80/20 rule. 80% of the money is controlled by 20% of the population. Which by today’s standard falls short because it’s more 95% to 5% (subjectively). Pareto even writes a whole book about the subject of wealth, upper class, middle class, lower class and what ratio is needed to ensure a working harmony. We all can’t be rich, all can’t be poor and we all can’t be middle of the two. Scientifically there is a ratio to all 3 that maximizes society and it’s advancements.
